Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Quyen, Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Organizing Committee for the City Police's Anniversary Activities, informed that recently, the City Police has coordinated with related units to successfully organize many activities towards the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).

In particular, the City Police organized a ceremony to report achievements at President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and a conference of the Capital Police to engrave Uncle Ho's teachings; the July flag-raising ceremony at the Hanoi Flag Tower yard (Thang Long Imperial Citadel Relic Site); the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Police's traditional day, the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection at the city level... The Capital Police also organized many cultural, artistic and sports activities; visual propaganda, decoration of billboards, posters, LED screens, electronic boards...

Through emulation movements, the City Police strengthen political and ideological education, motivate and promote the sense of responsibility and fighting spirit of officers and soldiers, and achieve many achievements.

In addition, with a positive, urgent, exemplary spirit, taking the lead in digital transformation, recently, the City Police have focused on completing and officially launching 4 digital transformation products with the goal of "Digital transformation - for a peaceful capital, for the people to serve". The digital transformation products of Hanoi City Police include "AI switchboard and AI chatbot"; "Smart switchboard 113, 114"; "Smart digitalization system and electronic storage" not only help improve the efficiency of professional work but also help the police force get closer to the people, helping people easily access public services, reflect information and receive the most timely support.

Or the construction of the "Hanoi Police Digital Museum" is not only to preserve historical values but also to help people access and better understand the tradition of the heroic Capital Police that has been preserved and promoted after 80 years of fighting and growing.

Protect the peace of the capital

Immediately after starting operations under the 2-level local police model from July 1, following the motto "strong communes, close to the grassroots", the police of communes and wards in Hanoi city have urgently focused on consolidating the regular commune-level police force, maintaining good security and order at the grassroots level, ensuring that no areas are left empty or overlooked.

With the goal of “the new apparatus must be better and more effective than the old apparatus”, closer to the people to best meet the requirements and assigned tasks, the police of communes and wards have maintained the implementation of decentralized administrative procedures in the area. At the same time, ensuring security and order, effectively preventing all types of crimes and law violations.

In particular, the City Police also proposed many solutions to ensure security and order for the activities celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam taking place in Hanoi. Colonel Doan Duc Thang, Chief of Staff (Hanoi City Police) said that the City Police had proactively established a Command Committee for ensuring security and order, assigning responsibilities to each unit, ensuring "clear people, clear work, clear responsibilities", with the key task of always being proactive, absolutely not allowing sudden or unexpected events to occur.

The city police will also arrange maximum forces and means to effectively implement the plans, combine to promote the movement of the whole people to protect national security, mobilize the combined strength of the entire political system; promote the role of forces participating in ensuring security and order at the grassroots level; strictly implement the work of on-duty and combat duty; synchronously deploy peak periods of crime prevention, general inspection of residence management, management of weapons and explosives; prevent traffic jams, fires and explosions... before, during and after the commemorative activities.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Director of the Hanoi City Police Department, affirmed that inheriting and promoting the glorious 80-year tradition of the heroic Vietnam People's Police force, the City Police Department will focus on comprehensively innovating all aspects of work, making efforts and striving to excellently complete all assigned tasks in order to best and most effectively carry out the work of ensuring security and safety of the capital, for the peace of the people in the coming time.
