Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Quyen, Deputy Director of the Hanoi City Police and Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Organizing Committee for commemorative activities of the Hanoi City Police, informed that in the past period, the Hanoi City Police, in coordination with relevant units, successfully organized many activities towards the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Police (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for Protecting National Security (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).

Specifically, the Hanoi City Police organized a ceremony to report achievements at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and a conference for Hanoi police officers to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh's teachings; a flag-raising ceremony in July at the Hanoi Flagpole Square (Thang Long Imperial Citadel); a city-level celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Police Force and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for Protecting National Security... The Hanoi Police also organized many cultural, artistic, and sports activities; visual propaganda and promotion, including the decoration of banners, posters, LED screens, and electronic billboards...

Through emulation movements, the city's police force has strengthened political and ideological education, motivated and promoted the sense of responsibility and fighting spirit of officers and soldiers, and achieved many accomplishments.

Furthermore, with a proactive, urgent, exemplary, and leading spirit in digital transformation, the Hanoi City Police recently focused on completing and officially launching four digital transformation products with the goal of "Digital Transformation - for a peaceful capital, for serving the people." These digital transformation products of the Hanoi City Police include "AI Call Center Operator and AI Chatbot"; "Smart 113, 114 Call Center"; and "Smart Digitization and Electronic Archiving System." These products not only improve the efficiency of operational work but also bring the police force closer to the people, enabling citizens to easily access public services, report information, and receive timely support.

The construction of the "Hanoi Police Digital Museum" is not only to preserve historical values ​​but also to help people access and better understand the traditions of the heroic Hanoi Police, which have been preserved and developed after 80 years of fighting and growth.

Protecting the peace of the capital city.

Immediately after operating under the two-tiered local police model from July 1st, in accordance with the motto "strong communes, rooted in the community," the police forces of communes and wards in Hanoi city have promptly focused on consolidating the regular commune-level police force, maintaining good security and order at the grassroots level, and ensuring that no area is left unattended or overlooked.

With the goal of "the new system must be better and more efficient than the old one," closer to the people to best meet the requirements and assigned tasks, the police in communes and wards have maintained the implementation of decentralized administrative procedures in their areas. At the same time, they have ensured security and order, effectively preventing and combating various types of crimes and violations of the law.

In particular, the Hanoi City Police also introduced many additional solutions to ensure security and order during the activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam taking place in Hanoi. Colonel Doan Duc Thang, Head of the Planning Department (Hanoi City Police), said that the City Police had proactively established a Command Board for ensuring security and order, assigning responsibilities to each unit, ensuring "clear responsibilities, clear tasks, clear accountability," with the main task being to always be proactive and absolutely prevent any unexpected incidents.

The city police will also deploy maximum forces and resources to effectively implement the plans, combining this with promoting the nationwide movement to protect national security, mobilizing the combined strength of the entire political system; promoting the role of forces participating in ensuring security and order at the grassroots level; strictly implementing duty and combat readiness; simultaneously deploying peak periods for crime prevention, comprehensive inspection of accommodation management, and management of weapons and explosives; and preventing traffic congestion, fires, and explosions... before, during, and after the commemorative activities.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi City Party Committee and Director of the Hanoi City Police, affirmed that, inheriting and promoting the glorious 80-year tradition of the heroic Vietnamese People's Police force, the Hanoi City Police will focus on comprehensively reforming all aspects of its work, striving to excellently fulfill all assigned tasks in order to best and most effectively ensure the security and safety of the Capital, for the peace and safety of the people in the coming time.
