
The traditional weaving craft of the Tay people in Nghia Do commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province has been recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage.
Specifically, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has included the following five heritage items in the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage:
1. Social customs and beliefs: Forest worship rituals of the Pa Dí people, Mường Khương district, Lào Cai province;
2. Traditional Cheo Singing Festival of Tau Tong Goi, Tan Hoi Commune, Dan Phuong District, Hanoi City;
3. Folk Performing Arts: The Chhay-Dăm drum performance art of the Khmer people; Tri Ton district and Tinh Bien town, An Giang province;
4. Traditional handicraft: Basket weaving of the Tay people, Nghia Do commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province;
5. Folk knowledge about Ngoc Linh ginseng, Tra My district, Quang Nam province.
The Chairpersons of the People's Committees at all levels in localities where intangible cultural heritage is included in the List of this Decision shall, within their duties and powers, exercise state management in accordance with the law on cultural heritage.
