According to the Organizing Committee, after three rounds of careful selection from the City-level Selection Council, 50 works/clusters of works were honored in groups with specific numbers: Medical works/clusters of works (8); Civil and industrial works/clusters of works (5); Cultural and educational works/clusters of works (17); Infrastructure and transportation works/clusters of works (15); Housing and urban area works/clusters of works (5).

These projects, regardless of investment method, were identified for investment in resolutions of the City Party Congresses throughout various periods. These projects, closely associated with the image of Ho Chi Minh City, have been awarded prestigious national and international prizes; they have involved the participation, contributions, and dedication of many segments of the population. In particular, they have a regional linkage character, creating significant momentum for the development of Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the entire country in general over the past 50 years.
At the ceremony, after the announcement of the 50 outstanding projects, the organizing committee invited representatives of the outstanding project groups/clusters to the stage for a Q&A session.
Earlier that morning, the exhibition of 50 outstanding construction projects/groups of construction projects in Ho Chi Minh City opened at the courtyard of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Cultural Center.
Here, images, models, artifacts, and illustrative documents about 50 typical projects/project clusters are displayed, allowing visitors to clearly understand the contributions of these projects to the infrastructure and urban development of Ho Chi Minh City.
The exhibition will take place from April 26 to 30, 2025.
The organizers stated that, through this series of activities, Ho Chi Minh City honors and expresses its profound gratitude to the generations of Vietnamese people who have sacrificed and made immense contributions to the independence, peace, and unification of the country; and to the leading scientists and experts who have contributed to the city's development over the past 50 years since the Liberation of the South and Unification of the Country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). From there, they hope to spread and have a profound impact, improving the material and spiritual lives of the people of the city named after President Ho Chi Minh.
