Over 600 candidates for the titles of Professor and Associate Professor have been announced.

TPO - The State Council of Professors has just announced the list of candidates recognized as Professors and Associate Professors in 2024, as reviewed at the second session of the Council's term 2024-2029, on November 2-3.

Following the meeting of the State Council of Professors, 615 out of 631 candidates met the criteria for recognition as Professors and Associate Professors. Of these, 45 candidates were awarded the title of Professor and 570 were awarded the title of Associate Professor.

Thus, compared to the number of candidates recommended by the Faculty/Interdisciplinary Council for recognition of Professor and Associate Professor titles, 16 candidates were disqualified in the review round by the State Professor Council.

All 16 candidates who were eliminated in the final round were applicants for the Associate Professor title.

This year, 27 out of 28 disciplines had candidates applying for Professor and Associate Professor positions; the Literature discipline had no applicants this year. Out of a total of 725 candidates from the 27 disciplines, 631 were recommended by the respective Professor Councils as meeting the criteria for recognition, including 45 Professor candidates and 586 Associate Professor candidates.
