Announcing the results of the Solve for Tomorrow 2023 competition

On November 25, Samsung Vietnam and the Youth Success Organization (JA Vietnam) organized the Final Round and the 5th Solve for Tomorrow Awards Ceremony to find outstanding innovative technology projects that contribute to solving social and local problems.

Solve for Tomorrow 2023 attracted nearly 150,000 students and teachers to register, receiving 2,266 entries – double the number from 2022.

The Final Round of Solve for Tomorrow 2023 took place with the competition of 10 best teams from many provinces and cities across the country including: 5 teams of Group A (Middle School) and 5 teams of Group B (High School) with projects in many different fields from environment, education ; to health, medicine...

After a period of exciting competition, with outstanding ideas, highly applicable product models and convincing presentations, the First Prize - the reward is a STEM LAB functional classroom for the school with the First Prize winning team, 30 million VND in cash for the team and a Samsung product worth 30 million VND for the team members (including contestants and instructors) went to the Cau Duc Hamlet team of Thuan An Secondary School - Hau Giang with the project Research, design and manufacture of Agro Robot - Monitoring, supervising and evaluating the health status of rice-growing land in Long My district, Hau Giang province (Table A) and the Mindful Medical Brain team of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted - Hanoi with the project MedIQ - Smart medical box applying IOT platform and management software system (Table B).

In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded 2 Second Prizes, 6 Third Prizes, 10 Encouragement Prizes, 2 Voting Prizes and 30 Online Training Prizes. The total prize value is up to nearly 8 billion VND.

"Youth is a generation with unlimited potential and this is also the generation that can provide solutions to the problems we are facing such as common prosperity for humanity, environmental protection, building a safe society... Therefore, we need to constantly care and support to help the spontaneous ideas of the young generation develop into creative problem-solving skills", Mr. Choi Joo Ho, General Director of Samsung Vietnam Complex shared at the ceremony.

"In addition, this is also the time for Vietnam to promote STEM education to increase the country's competitiveness. Samsung will always accompany Vietnam and strive to implement technology human resource development programs such as Solve for Tomorrow and Samsung Innovation Campus."

The Solve for Tomorrow 2023 competition was launched in April 2023 for middle and high school students aged 12 to 18 to encourage them to apply STEM education knowledge related to the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics to solve existing social problems.

After 5 years of organization, the Solve For Tomorrow contest has attracted more than 300,000 students and teachers to register, receiving nearly 5,200 entries, contributing to the popularization of STEM education, while further promoting activities to nurture technology talents in Vietnam.
