(kontumtv.vn) – On March 24, the Ministry of Education and Training issued guidelines for organizing the 2025 high school graduation exam, detailing the exam schedule.

The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place over two days, June 26-27, with two exam schedules for students studying under the 2018 General Education Program (new program) and the old program (2006).

This year marks the graduation exam year for the first group of students under the 2018 program, but there are still students from the old program (2006) who need to retake the exam to be considered for graduation or to use the scores for university admission. Therefore, the Ministry of Education and Training has released two exam schedules for these two groups.

The examination schedule is based on the exam papers of the General Education Program issued with Decision No. 16/2006/QD-BGDĐT dated May 5, 2006, and the Continuing Education Program issued with Decision No. 50/2006/QD-BGDĐT dated November 7, 2006 (hereinafter referred to as the 2006 General Education Program):

First-time high school graduates must take four exams: two compulsory exams in Mathematics and Literature, and two subjects chosen from those they have studied at school (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, History, Economics and Law Education, Informatics, Technology, and Foreign Language).

The Literature exam is in essay format. The remaining subjects are multiple-choice with questions including multiple-choice, true/false, and short-answer questions.

In the graduation score calculation formula, exam scores account for 50%; the remaining 50% comes from the academic transcript scores of grades 10, 11, and 12, and any bonus points. Compared to before, the academic transcript score has increased by 20%.

Candidates taking the exam under the old curriculum will take tests in Literature, Mathematics, Foreign Language, and one of the two subjects: Natural Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) or Social Sciences (History, Geography, Civic Education).

The Ministry of Education and Training will announce the exam results on July 16th, one day earlier than last year.
