Many meaningful activities
According to Dinh Sy Dat, Chairman of the Hoan Kiem Ward Trade Union, in implementing Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW dated September 9, 2025, of the Politburo "On some breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care, and improvement of people's health," the ward's Trade Union organized free health check-ups and consultations for more than 2,000 union members, civil servants, and workers, with a total cost of up to 5 billion VND.
At this event, the Ward Trade Union signed a memorandum of cooperation and launched the welfare program "Healthcare for union members, civil servants, and workers" for the period 2026-2029 with BCC PHARMA Joint Stock Company; simultaneously, they presented 50 gifts and provided support to 10 cases in difficult circumstances.

A highlight of the activities caring for union members during Workers' Month 2026 is the "Union Meal Program". This activity not only focuses on providing daily meals but also demonstrates the practical concern of the Trade Union organization for workers. At agencies, units, and businesses in the ward, the "Union Meal Program" is meticulously organized with a diverse menu, ensuring nutrition and food safety.
In addition, to implement the plan of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoan Kiem ward to address 5 bottlenecks in the area, the Hoan Kiem Ward Trade Union launched the "Green Saturday - Exchange Recyclable Waste for Gifts" model, with the theme "For a clean and beautiful Hoan Kiem, union members work together - the responsibility of all citizens".

According to Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen, Vice President of the Hoan Kiem Ward Trade Union, the model has received a positive response from a large number of trade union members and local residents. Recognizing this as a practical initiative contributing to a greener living environment, everyone participated enthusiastically. Beyond simply collecting waste, the model also contributes to changing the living habits of each family towards a more environmentally friendly approach.
Providing further information on activities during the 2026 Workers' Month, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen stated that the ward's Trade Union organized an AI publication creation contest titled "Hoan Kiem Trade Union: Innovation and Creativity - Connecting and Reaching Further." The grassroots trade unions actively participated and completed the essay contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation for the sixth time in 2026 with very encouraging results. Simultaneously, the ward's Trade Union paid close attention to educating its members and workers about revolutionary traditions, notably through visits and incense offerings at the Hanoi Police Museum and the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Temple on Ba Vi mountain.
Promoting the spirit of compassion
Commenting on the role of the Hoan Kiem Ward Trade Union in implementing the activities of the 2026 Workers' Month, Ms. Tran Thi Tuyet, President of the Hanoi Funeral Service Board Trade Union, said that after implementing the two-tiered local government model, the ward's trade union programs and plans have become increasingly practical, close to the grassroots, and strongly oriented towards workers.

These activities not only better care for the material and spiritual lives of workers but also create cohesion among grassroots trade unions, spreading a spirit of community responsibility, innovation, and digital transformation among union members and workers. Through this, the role of the trade union in representing, caring for, and protecting the rights of workers is increasingly affirmed.
Ms. Tran Thi Tuyet further informed that on this occasion, the Trade Union of the Hanoi Funeral Service Board has coordinated and implemented many practical activities aimed at workers, such as organizing periodic health check-ups for 100% of officials, employees, and workers; maintaining activities to visit and support union members with difficult circumstances or illnesses; and organizing "Trade Union Meals" at the union branches.

Notably, on this occasion, the Hoan Kiem Ward Trade Union, in coordination with the Dak Lak Provincial Police Trade Union and philanthropists, implemented the "Journey of Connecting Love" program to support disadvantaged children in Dak Lak province.
Lieutenant Colonel Pham Chi Hoa, Deputy Head of the Political Affairs Department of the Dak Lak Provincial Police, acknowledged that the presence of the Hoan Kiem Ward Trade Union members and charitable organizations such as the Hanoi City Sharing Love Group, the Phuc Minh Tam Charity Group, the Connecting Hands Club, and the Dong Tam Charity Group... is the most vivid evidence of the tradition of "mutual support" and the spirit of national solidarity.
"This sharing goes beyond material gifts; it's the warmth from the capital sent to the remote mountains. It's empathy, camaraderie, and the noble spirit of brotherhood," Lieutenant Colonel Pham Chi Hoa shared emotionally. He assessed that the activities of the Hoan Kiem Ward Trade Union have created a significant ripple effect in the locality.
The practical and engaging activities of the Hoan Kiem Ward Trade Union have contributed to affirming the role of the Trade Union organization in caring for the material and spiritual lives of workers; and at the same time building a united and humane working environment in agencies, units, and businesses in the area.
