Accordingly, 47 red plum-colored jackfruit coffee trees and 22 purple jackfruit coffee trees belonging to Mr. Tran Ngoc Dung and Mr. Phan Dinh Thong in But Viet village, Huong Phung commune, are recognized as mother trees. These mother trees were registered through the Tan Hop Agricultural Cooperative.

According to Ms. Nguyen Hong Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the recognition of 69 superior jackfruit coffee trees is the result of a long-term research and monitoring process. The evaluation council selected trees that were old, healthy, had balanced canopies, stable yields, uniform fruit quality, and were free from pests and diseases.

With the development of high-quality jackfruit coffee varieties in Huong Phung, Khe Sanh, and Tan Lap communes covering approximately 400-500 hectares, these superior jackfruit coffee plants are of great significance in preserving and developing genetic resources suitable for the local soil and climate. They provide a source of seedlings for controlled propagation, gradually establishing a stable, high-quality jackfruit coffee raw material area.
