Cong Phuong helps Binh Phuoc reach a historic milestone.

Nguyen Cong Phuong's impressive form is helping Binh Phuoc FC set a new record for the most wins in a single season.

In Round 15 of the 2024/25 First Division League, Cong Phuong became the hero for Binh Phuoc when he scored two spectacular free-kick goals, securing a 2-1 victory against Hoa Binh FC.

With a spectacular brace, Cong Phuong increased his total goals this season to 6 after 8 matches, along with 3 assists. With his current form, the striker from Do Luong ( Nghe An ) has a great chance to win the top scorer title in the 2024/25 First Division.

The striker, born in 1995, has shown that he not only made a strong comeback after injury but also contributed significantly to helping Binh Phuoc secure second place in the standings with 33 points after 14 matches, keeping alive their hopes of competing for promotion to the V-League next season.

Along with his individual contributions, Cong Phuong is also helping Binh Phuoc FC reach a historic milestone. As of round 15, the team from the Southeast region has achieved 10 wins, matching their performance from the entire previous season.

If Cong Phuong and his teammates secure another victory, they will surpass their total points tally from the 2023/24 season, and equal their number of wins from the 2019 season (11 wins).

Given Cong Phuong's current form, he could very well help Binh Phuoc set a record for the most wins in a single season, as there are still 6 rounds left in this year's First Division league.

In the upcoming Round of 16, Binh Phuoc will host Dong Thap at home.
