
During the meeting, Mr. Kamibayashiyama Masao introduced Sumitomo Forestry Group, emphasizing its investment in Vietnam since 2010. Sumitomo Forestry develops business activities centered around wood, from forest management and raw material distribution to the construction of wood structures and renewable energy projects.
According to Mr. Masao, the company proposed three key areas of cooperation in Ho Chi Minh City in the near future: developing environmentally friendly real estate projects; researching and implementing the production of bio-ethanol fuel from cashew nuts, aiming for zero net emissions; and cooperating in transferring advanced service models for elderly care and senior health care.
Comrade Nguyen Van Duoc highly appreciated Sumitomo Forestry's capabilities and investment orientations, especially projects in the green economy sector. He welcomed Sumitomo Forestry's nursing home project and healthcare workforce training program, particularly in the context of the rapidly aging population.
The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee affirmed that the Ho Chi Minh City government is ready to support and resolve procedural obstacles and create the most favorable conditions in terms of mechanisms and policies.
