The A Pa Chai flagpole, over 45 meters tall, is about to be inaugurated.

The flag-raising ceremony and inauguration of the A Pa Chai flagpole will be held on May 7, 2025, at the sacred westernmost point of the Fatherland (Sin Thau commune, Muong Nha district, Dien Bien province).

The A Pa Chai flagpole is a sacred symbol of sovereignty , and also a highlight of cultural and historical tourism.

This destination contributes to fostering national pride, solidarity, and a sense of responsibility among all citizens in the cause of building and protecting the national borders.

According to the plan of the Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee, the inauguration ceremony will take place in the waiting area near the border marker. This event commemorates the 71st anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory and celebrates the 15th Provincial Party Congress.

The flag-raising ceremony took place at the A Pa Chai flagpole area, at an altitude of 1,432m above sea level. This activity included the flag-saluting ritual and the planting of a commemorative tree.

Near the A Pa Chai flagpole is the westernmost point of Vietnam, the tri-border junction between Vietnam, China, and Laos, a place so famous that a rooster's crow can be heard in all three countries.

When visiting Dien Bien in general and Muong Nha in particular, the westernmost point, the A Pa Chai flagpole, is a must-see destination for tourists, especially young people.
