Apple recently introduced iOS 26 at the WWDC 2025 event, featuring several notable changes, from a completely new interface to a range of deeply integrated artificial intelligence features. One small but significant change that users are interested in is the ability to customize the snooze time in the Clock app.
Previously, iPhones only allowed a single snooze time of 9 minutes, a limit stemming from the mechanical limitations of traditional alarm clocks. On iOS 26, users can now adjust the snooze time from 1 to 15 minutes, to suit their individual needs and waking habits. Setting it up is quite simple; users just select a specific alarm and then adjust the duration in the "Snooze Time" section.
This change, while technically minor, is highly appreciated for providing a better personalized experience. While some people only need a few minutes' reminder to wake up and start their day, many users may need more time to mentally prepare for waking up.
In addition to the alarm feature, iOS 26 brings several other notable improvements. Apple introduced a new interface called “Liquid Glass” with transparent, reflective, and interactive real-time effects to make the iPhone more vibrant. The new operating system also integrates Apple Intelligence with essential functions such as live translation support, AI-powered image creation, text summarization, and intelligent responses within applications.
Other new features include intelligent call screening, automatic call hold assist, the ability to create surveys in group chats, and an upgraded photo manager with a more intuitive interface.
iOS 26 is currently in the developer testing phase. Apple expects to release a public beta in July and the official version in the fall of this year.
