After being nominated for "Most Impressive Player," Dinh Bac continued to appear in the second round of voting organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) at the 2026 AFC U23 Championship.

Specifically, this time Dinh Bac was honored by the AFC in the "Most Popular Goal" category of the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Championship.

Dinh Bac scored four goals in this tournament, three of which were spectacular. In the group stage, his stunning strike against Saudi Arabia was honored as the "best goal" of that stage.

In the knockout rounds, Dinh Bac continued to score two more stunning goals - a header against UAE in the quarter-finals, and a free-kick that found the net against South Korea in the third-place match.

The AFC probably had a hard time finding the most beautiful goal by Dinh Bac to include in the final nominations. And in the end, the header against UAE was chosen.

"Vietnam's captain restored the lead for his team with a brilliant piece of skill. Receiving a pass from Pham Minh Phuc, Dinh Bac unleashed a stunning backward header, sending the ball into the far bottom corner of the net, showcasing his composure and precise technique under pressure," AFC commented on the header in its article introducing the nominated goals.

This poll was held on the afternoon of January 28th, one day after the AFC launched its "Most Impressive Player" poll yesterday.

In the "Most Impressive Player" poll, there are a total of 10 nominated players, and Dinh Bac is currently leading with over 90% of the votes.

As for the most impressive goal, only six players were nominated. The five players honored were Ali Azaizeh (Jordan, for his goal against Japan), Mansoor Al Menhali (UAE, for his goal against Vietnam), Baek Ga-on (South Korea, for his goal against Australia), and Xiang Yuwang (China, for his skillful spinning shot against Vietnam).

Only two names appeared in both nominations: Dinh Bac and Azaizeh from Jordan.
