Tien Tien's slip

From being the most sought-after contestant, Tien Tien lost momentum when Miu Le's team lost in live stage 2. Then, when forming a team for live stage 3, Tien Tien was no longer the name everyone wanted to see.

After live stage 2, the situation in "Em xinh say hi" reversed dramatically. 52Hz won, rising to the top of the rankings and becoming the most talked-about "Em xinh" contestant. Meanwhile, the duo Miu Le and Tien Tien, who were highly anticipated before live stage 2, suffered a bitter defeat. Miu Le and Tien Tien remain in the program, but their appeal has noticeably diminished.

Miu Le and Tien Tien were chosen as team captains for live stage 3. Miu Le held this important responsibility for the second time, being in the high-ranking group of "Em Xinh" (Beautiful Girls). Tien Tien was chosen as team captain by audience vote. Right from the start, Tien Tien was at a disadvantage against her rivals in the competition for contestants, including a defeat against her former teammate Miu Le.

Tien Tien's inconsistent performance

In live stage 2, Tien Tien was the most sought-after contestant. 52Hz, Miu Le, and Bich Phuong chose Tien Tien in the first round, leading to a tense battle among the three team captains to recruit an all-rounder with strengths in production and songwriting. Feeling pressured to be " musically controlled," Tien Tien chose to join Miu Le's team to shine.

It's no surprise that Tien Tien is so sought after, because before live stage 2, Tien Tien consistently appeared in the winning team. Tien Tien led the Alliance 2 to shine, winning overwhelmingly in the first episode of "Em xinh “say hi” which aired. In live stage 1, Tien Tien also shone in her performance of "Cam Ky Thi Hoa" .

Theoretically, Tien Tien was a member of Miu Le's team in live stage 2. However, in reality, Tien Tien held hidden power, significantly influencing whether Miu Le's team won or lost. Her statement, "I'm a patriarch in music," wasn't a joke. It was a signal from Tien Tien, forcing Miu Le into a position where she had to accept the consequences if she didn't want to lose her "trump card" to 52Hz.

For Miu Le's two performances in live stage 2, Tien Tien was the one who directly worked on developing the demo into a complete song. Miu Le and Tien Tien even split into two teams so that Tien Tien had full control over the second performance. With Tien Tien's experience, the audience expected Miu Le's team to create performances of outstanding musical quality. However, what happened in Tien Tien's live stage 2 was the opposite.

Miu Le's team performed two songs, "We Belong Together" and "What I Always Wish For," without leaving any impression. The song "What I Always Wish For ," featuring Tien Tien, received the lowest number of votes among the eight performances.

Miu Le's team, with Tien Tien as the musical director, produced songs that were too simple compared to their competitors. Both songs focused on energy and catchiness, investing heavily in the music, but the lyrics lacked impact. Meanwhile, the teams of 52Hz, Bich Phuong, and Phuong My Chi invested heavily in at least one performance, from writing additional lyrics to developing demos into complete songs.

Miu Le's team's failure stemmed from music that wasn't distinctive enough compared to their opponent. Of course, the blame doesn't lie entirely with Tien Tien, as Miu Le's stage design, choreography, and storytelling also fell short compared to her rival. From live stage 1 to the song "What I Always Wish For ," Tien Tien showed a decline in performance. From this, the audience began to question whether Tien Tien truly dominated in terms of musical ability.

Tien Tien was rejected twice.

After just one live stage, Tien Tien fell behind the top-ranked group, Em Xinh. Gone was the arrogance she displayed in the team formation round of live stage 2; Tien Tien's appearance in the latest episode of Em Xinh was overshadowed by her colleagues who were higher-ranked. Tien Tien dropped to 9th place but remained the team captain for live stage 3 thanks to the audience's trust in the songwriter.

In the six team captains of live stage 3, despite having the advantage of audience votes, Tien Tien did not have the upper hand. Tien Tien was ranked behind 52Hz, Miu Le, Orange, and Phuong Ly in the member selection rounds. In the first round, Tien Tien wanted to recruit Lyhan but was defeated by My My in a direct competition.

Tien Tien had to choose Anh Sang Aza when all the other talented contestants had already been selected in the first round. In the second round, Tien Tien chose Quynh Anh Shyn, but continued to face direct competition from Miu Le. Tien Tien did everything she could to convince Quynh Anh Shyn, emphasizing her promise: "If Quynh Anh Shyn joins my team, I will abandon my patriarchal approach to music."

However, Quỳnh Anh Shyn chose to join Miu Lê's team.

Ultimately, Tien Tien brought in three beautiful girls: Anh Sang, Bao Anh, and Saabirose. Compared to the other five teams, Tien Tien's team was considered the weakest because it lacked a standout talent currently ranked in the top 10. However, Anh Sang, Bao Anh, and Saabirose are expected to be suitable additions to the team, working under Tien Tien's guidance in every aspect.

The situation in live stage 2 showed that to win, catchiness and creativity in music alone are not enough. Each performance needs perfection in musical depth, concept, staging, and choreography. Tien Tien's failure in live stage 2 highlighted these shortcomings. Her role as team captain in live stage 3 is her chance, a crossroads – reaffirming her position or continuing to slide further down the competition.
