The Department of Sports and Physical Education will clarify responsibilities to the very end.

Regarding the incident where Vietnamese junior table tennis players were not provided with adequate nutrition during training and daily activities, the Department of Sports and Physical Education has launched an investigation to clarify the responsibilities of all parties involved.

On November 3rd, the Department of Sports and Physical Education established a disciplinary council to verify the responsibilities of the collectives and individuals involved in the incident, with the aim of imposing disciplinary measures such as reprimands or censures.

At the same time, the administrative and professional units of the Department of Sports and Physical Education, including the National Sports Training Center in Hanoi (the center ), must establish an independent disciplinary council to investigate the incident and propose disciplinary measures for the individuals and organizations involved.

In the event that the verification, investigation, and disciplinary results of the center are unconvincing, the Disciplinary Council of the Department of Sports and Physical Education has the right to challenge, reject, and request a more appropriate disciplinary measure for the violations that occurred in the past, leading to the unfortunate incident at the Vietnamese junior table tennis team.

The disciplinary council of the sports sector has 5 days (excluding holidays) to verify the facts and decide on disciplinary measures. It is expected that on November 9th or 10th, the disciplinary council, chaired by the Director of the Department of Sports and Physical Education, Dang Ha Viet, will meet to announce the disciplinary action to be reported to the sports sector leadership.

Previously, regarding the case of Vietnamese youth table tennis athletes not being provided with adequate meals, after a month of verification and based on written explanations from the relevant parties, the sports sector decided on the initial handling of the matter.

The person in charge of the Vietnamese youth table tennis team's kitchen has been dismissed and transferred to another department. The specialized department of the Department of Sports and Physical Education, which is responsible for managing the Vietnamese youth table tennis team, will temporarily cease its management functions.

Following the news about the inadequate meals provided to the Vietnamese youth table tennis team, the Department of Sports and Physical Education instructed that coach Bui Xuan Ha not be summoned to the team, and that the coaching staff and players be returned to their training center. There, the Vietnamese youth table tennis team received a much better nutritional regime.
