Ensuring sufficient capital for agriculture, rural areas, and farmers is a goal that the Agricultural Bank of Vietnam, Bat Xat District Branch (Agribank Bat Xat) always strives for. Adhering to this goal, Agribank Bat Xat has worked alongside farmers in the district to continue pursuing their dreams of prosperity.

For Mr. Tran Van Quang, from Son Ha village, Ban Vuoc commune, the journey of starting a horse farming business was a stroke of luck. In 2018, Mr. Quang accessed a loan of 100 million VND from Agribank to invest in organic vegetable farming, but for various reasons, this project failed. Thinking about his entrepreneurial path, and seeing the potential for developing large-scale livestock farming in his locality, Mr. Quang decided to borrow an additional 300 million VND to breed horses. Currently, his family owns 23 horses, 15 of which are breeding horses. On average, each horse breeds once a year, with each horse valued at 15 million VND. Meanwhile, raising horses doesn't require much care; mainly, they need good grass and basic disease prevention. Horses are easier to raise than buffalo or cows, and are less prone to disease, so the risk is low. According to calculations, if all 23 horses breed, Mr. Quang's family will have a stable income from horse farming.

Mr. Tran Van Quang shared: "Agribank Bat Xat is like a companion on my entrepreneurial journey. It was the preferential interest rate loans from Agribank that empowered me to develop my horse breeding model."

A customer of Agribank since the 1990s, Mr. Luu Van Quang has been involved in many industries, from construction business to cold-water fish farming. Mr. Quang's cold-water fish farm is located in Ngai Cho village. In Dền Thàng commune, the farm, with 40 ponds and a water surface area of ​​over 3,000 ^m², primarily raises sturgeon. Currently, the farm is raising over 100,000 cold-water fish (85% of which are sturgeon), with more than 20,000 ready for sale. Each year, the farm supplies 40-50 tons of commercial fish to the market. After deducting expenses, the farm earns an average profit of over 2 billion VND per year. Mr. Lưu Văn Quang has become a loyal customer of Agribank Bát Xát with an outstanding loan of over 6 billion VND.

Mr. Luu Van Quang said: "The preferential loan for agricultural and rural development from Agribank helped me build a fish farm on the scale it is today. From the initial 6 tanks (in 2011), I have invested more each year, and now I have 40 fish tanks with a modern water supply system, providing a stable income for my family."

Mr. Nguyen Quang Dai, Deputy Director of Agribank Bat Xat (Agribank Lao Cai II), said: With over 1,140 households having outstanding loans exceeding 554 billion VND in the agricultural and rural sectors, Agribank Bat Xat is affirming its leading role in bringing credit capital to remote areas, helping people invest in production, and contributing to the sustainable transformation of the agricultural economic structure.

In addition to supporting people with initial loans, Agribank Bat Xat also facilitates revolving loans for households, providing them with additional capital for production. As a result, people are more proactive in investing and developing their economy.

To ensure that capital reaches the right people for the right purposes, Agribank Bat Xat has closely coordinated with local socio-political organizations to conduct open and transparent loan applications. Agribank Bat Xat has also actively implemented electronic banking services and cashless payments to create the best conditions for people to access loans conveniently.
