Diverse tourism products

Quang Ngai is focusing on investing in and diversifying tourism products to attract tourists, especially promoting community-based tourism and rural tourism.

Leveraging advantages

Quang Ngai is blessed with many scenic spots and beautiful, dreamy beaches. The coastal areas also attract tourists with the captivating beauty of the seawalls covered in green moss, creating a picturesque landscape. Recently, many tourists have visited the coastal erosion control seawalls in Pho Truong village, Nghia An commune, and Khe Tan village, Tinh Khe commune ( Quang Ngai city). At this time of year, the seawalls are dyed green by the moss. Tourists come here early in the morning to "hunt" for the sunrise, or in the afternoon to watch the sunset and take photos of the beautiful scenery.

According to Vo Minh Chinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tinh Khe commune, the Khe Tan seawall area attracts many tourists who come to visit and take souvenir photos. This has enabled local people to increase their income through food and beverage businesses. The commune has deployed police officers and militia to regularly patrol and remind tourists to protect the environment and prioritize safety. In the long term, the My Khe Community Agricultural Cooperative plans to develop a chain of local experiential tourism products including: the Thien Ma spiritual and cultural area, the mangrove forest base, the National Monument of the National Hero Truong Dinh, the Son My Memorial Site, My Khe beach, and the Khe Tan seawall. Simultaneously, they will diversify experiential, recreational, and culinary services at these tourist destinations.

An opportunity to attract customers.

According to Nguyen Tien Dung, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, community tourism and rural tourism in the province have achieved encouraging results, attracting enthusiastic participation from the people. Developing tourism in conjunction with promoting the traditional cultural values of rural villages contributes to creating jobs and improving the lives of people in rural areas.

Currently, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is coordinating with the People's Committee of Quang Ngai City to develop a tourism cluster encompassing Son My - Thien Ma - Tinh Khe mangrove forest - My Khe beach - Sung Tich village... to serve tourists. They are also developing community-based tourism models in Ganh Ca - Chau Tan (Binh Son), Tinh Khe mangrove forest; developing community-based tourism models around An Khe lagoon (Duc Pho town); community-based tourism models in Son My village (Quang Ngai City); and community-based tourism models such as "Mysterious Ly Son volcanic island - A day as an island farmer" (Ly Son)... At the same time, they are developing eco-tourism products, exploring nature and community culture at potential locations such as Ra Manh village and Dakdrinh lake (Son Tay), Long Mon - White Waterfall (Minh Long), Cao Muon waterfall (Ba To)...

In April and May 2024, Quang Ngai will organize many special events to attract tourists. The highlight will be the 2024 Tourism Week with diverse cultural, sports, and tourism activities such as: the Provincial Women's Beach Volleyball Tournament; the OCOP product and food festival and rural and community tourism space; the exhibition of marine and island cultural heritage; the Khao Le The Linh Hoang Sa ceremony and the traditional Four Sacred Animals boat race in Ly Son; organizing Famtrip and Presstrip tours to survey tourism products; the seminar "Developing rural and community tourism in Quang Ngai province - Opportunities and prospects"... In addition, in 2024, the province will organize the International Sailing and Stand-Up Paddleboarding Championship at My Khe beach (Quang Ngai City); the International Paragliding Championship and the "Fly to Ly Son" hot air balloon festival...

"This is an opportunity to promote the history, culture, people, and tourism potential of Quang Ngai, bringing the image of Quang Ngai closer to domestic and international tourists and boosting tourism development in the future," Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung emphasized.
