DTO - The Department of Education and Training (GD&ĐT) pays close attention to and implements educational activities for students, including ethics, lifestyle, skills, psychological counseling, and school social activities, in conjunction with cultural education activities as guided by the Ministry of Education and Training . This helps secondary and high school students develop their personalities, cultural behavior, and communication skills, aiming to build positive values and relationships within the school, family, and society.

The Department of Education and Training has issued guiding documents to its affiliated units, the Education and Training Departments of districts and cities, and secondary and high schools, emphasizing the importance of promoting revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyles through propaganda and education. Regular flag-raising ceremonies and class activities are linked to the dissemination of information about major events and holidays of the province and the country. School principals and student unions coordinate activities to attract student participation: camps, cultural performances with acts praising the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, love for the homeland, and beautiful images of the people of Dong Thap. In addition, 100% of secondary and high schools throughout the province organize guidance for students on safe and effective use of the internet and social media. They also strengthen, build, and expand models of "Culturally appropriate behavior in schools; prevention and control of school violence," and activities such as "English Clubs" and "Computer Science Clubs" for students. Secondary and high schools are actively implementing innovative teaching methods; using integrated, interdisciplinary teaching methods and techniques such as environmental protection education, border and maritime sovereignty education in Geography; and security and defense education in Literature, History, and Geography. In addition, they organize group learning activities and guide students in self-study, research, exchange, and discussion, contributing to encouraging self-confidence, dynamism, and critical thinking among students.
Secondary and high schools regularly maintain mid-morning exercise sessions and organize swimming lessons for students. The school health program for the period 2021-2025 has been implemented. 100% of secondary education institutions have effectively organized the testing and classification of students' physical fitness. The Department of Education and Training organized training for secondary and high school administrators and teachers on the use of materials and provided training to improve their capacity in implementing psychological counseling and school social work; proactively integrating the recognition of safe schools into the inspection and recognition of "Green - Clean - Beautiful" schools.
From the beginning of the school year, the Department of Education and Training, in coordination with the health sector, organized communication activities on school health, child protection, care and education, HIV/AIDS prevention, and tobacco control. With support from various resources, the Department of Education and Training invested in and ensured the availability of facilities and equipment for school health services at junior and senior high schools throughout the province. Medical staff were given opportunities to study and improve their professional skills to better meet the needs of primary healthcare for students.
