What did you say at the police station?

The coach and head of the Taekwondo club explained the situation to Thanh Nien Newspaper.

At 3 PM on January 13th, Coach Nguyen Van Kin returned to the Seung Ri Taekwondo Club after several hours of working with the police. Mr. Kin had a direct conversation with a Thanh Nien reporter regarding the parents' complaint about the beating of their students.

Speaking to reporters, Coach Nguyen Van Kin stated that he had given a detailed account to the police: "At 6 PM on January 9th, about 30 students entered the training session... After taking over the class, I briefed them on the training content, then went to my private office. After 40 minutes of warm-up exercises, Quy (Mr. Kin's assistant) came to my office to ask for my opinion on the next training session. I asked Quy to have the class do physical training, and at 7 PM I directly taught the main content of the day. After the training session ended, at 8 PM that same day, I received a complaint from the parent of NTH (residing in Hoa Xuan Ward, Cam Le District, the father of martial arts student NTNM) regarding an incident of beating, along with photos," Mr. Kin recounted.

Afterward, Mr. Kin texted and called parent H. to try and understand the cause together. However, parent H. did not respond to Mr. Kin at all.

On the night of January 9th, parent H. went to the headquarters of the People's Committee of Khue Trung Ward (Cam Le District, Da Nang City) to report the incident, and shortly afterwards, the police summoned Mr. Kin for questioning.

During the second meeting on the afternoon of January 13th, Mr. Kin stated to the police: "The incident occurred while I was in the office; I did not directly witness the situation. Therefore, I cannot assess the extent of Assistant Quy's influence on martial arts student NTNM. I have tried to hear information from Quy and wish to meet the family to clarify the matter further. However, four days have passed and I still have not been able to meet the student's family."

According to Mr. Kin, after cooperating with the police twice, he and his assistant, Quy, can only wait for the conclusion of the investigation.

On the afternoon of January 13th, the People's Committee of Khue Trung Ward, Cam Le District, Da Nang City, announced that after working with representatives of the Seung Ri Taekwondo Club, they had drawn up a report temporarily suspending the club's activities from January 14th.

Subsequently, the People's Committee of Cam Le District (Da Nang City) directed the People's Committee of Khue Trung Ward to urgently investigate and clarify the case in which parents accused a taekwondo coach of beating their child during training at the club, and to report back to the District People's Committee.
