On June 19th, the Da Nang City People's Committee and the Vietnam Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (Agribank) launched a pilot model of a smart kiosk and a system for authenticating and issuing digital copies of electronic documents (Digital Public Service Station).
Accordingly, Agribank will sponsor 11 digital public service stations for Da Nang, located at 11 locations in the city, including: the Da Nang City Public Administrative Service Center and 10 communes and wards: Hai Chau, Hoa Cuong, Cam Le, Ngu Hanh Son, An Khe, An Hai, Tam Ky, Huong Tra, Nui Thanh, and Thang An.
The digital public service station utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced intelligent recognition technology to automate the process of issuing digital copies and delivering online public services.
When implemented in public administrative service centers, this model will help citizens quickly complete tasks directly at kiosks without having to queue to submit documents as before.
The kiosk system will automatically recognize, verify the validity, and authenticate information from original documents, then forward it to the processing officer to issue a legally valid electronic copy. This process ensures accuracy and transparency, saving time and costs for citizens.
For administrative agencies, the system significantly reduces the workload for public administrative staff thanks to the digitized and automated processes of guidance, searching, and document verification, minimizing the use of paper and ink.
Speaking at the launch event, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee, assessed this as one of the pioneering solutions in the process of modernizing the administrative system, applying artificial intelligence and intelligent recognition technology to automate the process of issuing digital copies and providing online public services.
According to Mr. Hung, during the process of verifying documents, citizens can directly operate at the kiosk without having to queue to submit their applications as before, making it more convenient for them. The city will evaluate the model after the pilot period to further refine it and consider expanding it in the future.
"The pilot implementation of the smart kiosk system is a concrete step from administrative reform to proactive, smart-service administration, contributing to simplifying processes, reducing costs, saving time and effort for citizens, while enhancing transparency and modernity in handling administrative procedures," Mr. Hung said.
Mr. To Huy Vu, Chairman of the Board of Members of Agribank, said that in the past period, Agribank has partnered with four localities, including Hanoi, Thanh Hoa, Quang Ninh, and Ninh Binh, to deploy 40 digital public service stations.
In the long-term direction, Mr. Vu said that Agribank will extensively integrate online public services with a modern ecosystem of financial and banking products and services right on its digital public service stations. This will not only maximize convenience for citizens when conducting transactions but also contribute to completing the overall picture of a civilized and convenient digital society.
On this occasion, Agribank donated 1 billion VND to support social welfare in the field of education in Da Nang City.
