Venerable Thich Thien Phat: Giving is forever

Realizing that Buddhist philosophy and Ho Chi Minh's ideology have similarities, especially love for humanity, Venerable Thich Thien Phat (real name Vo Thanh Thuan) - Abbot of Thanh Duc Pagoda, My Yen Commune, Tay Ninh Province, constantly studies and follows Uncle Ho's example.

With the message of love “Giving is forever”, for many years, the Venerable has actively participated in charity activities, sharing with difficult circumstances in and outside the locality. The Venerable believes that learning from Uncle Ho is not about great things but from good, close, simple virtues such as doing good deeds to contribute to a better life and society.

Venerable Thich Thien Phat shared: “Caring, connecting, and helping those in difficult circumstances is also compassion according to Buddhist concepts. When compassion expands over time, we will feel that this life is full of joy and happiness.”

With a compassionate heart, the Venerable constantly mobilizes and guides Buddhists of Thanh Duc Pagoda to join hands in carrying out charitable activities, sending love and sharing difficulties with the community to spread the compassionate spirit of Buddhism into life.

From heartwarming meals, free medical check-ups, dozens of voluntary blood donations,... to gifts given to the poor, students in difficult circumstances,... have promptly alleviated the hardships in life. Not only that, the Venerable also went directly to remote areas to do charity work.

With his charitable and humanitarian work, Venerable Thich Thien Phat is one of the individuals receiving a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Long An province (old) for his outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, period 2021-2024./.
