From its 36th position last year, this year's result further affirms Monash's sustained growth over the past decade, while reflecting its increasingly recognized global quality of education, research capabilities, and academic prestige.

Notably, Monash University recorded the strongest rise in the Group of Eight (Go8) – an alliance of eight leading research-intensive universities in Australia – affirming its increasingly high quality of education, research capabilities, and academic reputation on the international stage.

Monash University Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Sharon Pickering, shared: “In less than 70 years, Monash has risen to become one of the world’s leading universities. In particular, over the last decade, Monash has been one of the fastest-rising universities in the top 50 globally, climbing 29 places in international rankings.”
The achievements we have made today provide a foundation for us to continue pursuing even bigger goals in the future. This result confirms that Monash is well-positioned to realize its strategic vision of driving social and technological transformation, thereby creating positive impacts for the communities, businesses, and industries we partner with."
Recently, Monash Business School has partnered with the ISB Institute (University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City) to implement international master's pathways in Global Management and Business, allowing students to complete part of the program in Vietnam before transferring to Monash.
In parallel, Monash, in collaboration with the social enterprise Know One Teach One (KOTO), is implementing the KOTO Dream Full Scholarship for disadvantaged youth in Vietnam, opening up opportunities for high-potential students to access international education . Under the program, three graduates from KOTO will receive full scholarships to pursue bachelor's degrees at Monash, with two students studying at the Monash Malaysia campus (Subang Jaya) and one student studying in Australia.
In addition to scholarship programs, the university is also expanding its cooperation with the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV), which allows students to complete part of their studies in Australia. Under the new agreement, students in business, commerce, digital media, and communications will have more options to study at the Monash Malaysia campus. These initiatives demonstrate that a university ranked among the top 31 in the world is not only present in international rankings but is also increasingly closely connected to the education and human resource development ecosystem in Vietnam.
