Persimmons are a multi-purpose crop in Dai Hue commune (Nghe An province). With good prices and quick sales at the beginning of the season, persimmon growers in Dai Hue commune are quite pleased.

These days, farmers in Dai Hue commune (formerly Nam Xuan commune, Nam Dan district) are harvesting the first persimmons of the season. In their gardens and on the slopes of Dai Hue mountain, local people cultivate many varieties of persimmons, such as mountain persimmons, gourd persimmons, bamboo persimmons, egg persimmons, and tree persimmons... Reportedly, Dai Hue commune has nearly 195 hectares of persimmon orchards, concentrated in the former Nam Anh and Nam Xuan communes. Depending on the variety, persimmons ripen earlier or later, making harvesting and selling quite convenient for the farmers.
