Buddha's Birthday Celebration, Buddhist Calendar 2569

On the morning of April 30th (the 3rd day of the 4th lunar month), at Dai Thanh Pagoda ( Bac Ninh City), the Executive Board of the Provincial Buddhist Association solemnly organized the Great Buddha's Birthday Celebration, Buddhist Calendar 2569 – Gregorian Calendar 2025.

Overview of the Grand Ceremony

In joyful celebration of the Buddha's birthday, delegates, Venerable Monks, Senior Monks, and Buddhist followers respectfully commemorated the revered and enlightened Master, Shakyamuni Buddha; and expressed gratitude to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence and freedom of the nation.

Simultaneously, traditional ceremonies were held: reciting Buddhist prayers for blessings, offering flowers and incense, bathing the Buddha statue, praying for national peace and prosperity, reading the 2025 Buddha's Birthday message from the United Nations Secretary-General, and the Buddha's Birthday message for the Buddhist year 2569 – Gregorian year 2025 from the Venerable Grand Master of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha...

With the theme "Unity and Tolerance for Human Dignity: Buddhist Wisdom for World Peace and Sustainable Development," each monk, nun, Buddhist follower, and member organization of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha pledges to diligently practice and progress in the spirit of unity and tolerance, nurturing inner peace for world peace, bringing happiness and tranquility to the world; and to continue making important contributions to national unity and actively participating in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.
