Colonel Tran Dao has passed away.

The Party Committee of the Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security, and the family deeply mourn to announce the passing of Colonel Tran Dao, former Director of the Traffic Police Department, at 12:45 PM on May 1, 2025, at the age of 89.

Colonel Tran Dao was born on October 9, 1937. His birthplace is Chinh Nghia commune, Kim Dong district, Hung Yen province. His current address is Ta Ha village, Chinh Nghia commune, Kim Dong district, Hung Yen province.

Former Director of the Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security . Member of the Communist Party of Vietnam; awarded the Third-Class Labor Medal, the Medal for National Security, the First, Second, and Third-Class Glorious Soldier Medals; the 55-Year Party Membership Badge… and many other prestigious awards.

Due to old age and frail health, Comrade passed away at 12:45 PM on May 1, 2025 (corresponding to the 4th day of the 4th lunar month of the Year of the Snake), at his home in Ta Ha village, Chinh Nghia commune, Kim Dong district, Hung Yen province. He was 89 years old.

The memorial service will be held from 8:00 AM on May 2nd, 2025 to 7:30 AM on May 3rd, 2025 at Ta Ha village, Chinh Nghia commune, Kim Dong district, Hung Yen province.

The memorial service will be held at 7:30 AM on May 3, 2025. Burial will take place at the family cemetery in Ta Ha village, Chinh Nghia commune, Kim Dong district, Hung Yen province.
