NDO - On the afternoon of May 4th, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province announced that during the 5-day holiday (from April 30th to May 4th), the province welcomed approximately 210,000 visitors, a 68% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Of these, an estimated 2,000 were international visitors, a 53.85% increase, and an estimated 208,000 were domestic visitors, a 68.5% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Total revenue from sightseeing and accommodation is estimated at 78 billion VND, a 24.8% increase compared to the same period in 2024. The average room occupancy rate is estimated at 55-65%.

During this year's Victory Day (April 30th) and International Labor Day (May 1st) holidays, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province and its affiliated units have implemented propaganda activities to commemorate major holidays and important historical events in 2025; and to promote the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30th).

Successfully organized the following activities: a cultural and artistic exchange program with Mondulkiri province (Cambodia); the "National Festival" art program featuring artistic exchange between Dak Lak and Phu Yen provinces and a demonstration of processing tuna; a gong culture performance program themed "Coming to the Highlands"; the art program "The Call of the Highlands"; the first program introducing and promoting musical works in 2025; an experiential activity themed "Fragrance and Beauty of the Plain"; and a book exhibition celebrating the 50th anniversary of the complete liberation of the South and national reunification, and International Labor Day on May 1st.

Successfully organized a film screening commemorating the 50th anniversary of the complete liberation of Southern Vietnam and national reunification, and International Labor Day on May 1st, at the multi-functional Cultural and Cinema Center in the Central Highlands; provided 18 free film screenings for the public at the center from April 26th, 2025 to May 4th, 2025, attracting over 2,700 viewers; conducted 6 mobile film screenings attracting 2,200 viewers and 6 mobile loudspeaker propaganda sessions in both Vietnamese and Ede languages ​​in communes of Cu M'gar and Krong Bong districts.

During this year's April 30th and May 1st holidays, the first-ever Dak Lak Hot Air Balloon Festival 2025 - Flying over the Great Mountains - will be held in Buon Don district to serve the people and tourists.

During the holiday commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification Day, and International Labor Day on May 1st, the Dak Lak Museum welcomed and served a total of 741 groups, with 3,736 visitors, including 715 groups and 3,676 domestic visitors, and 26 groups and 60 international visitors.

At tourist areas and attractions, tourism businesses must publicly display prices and sell at the listed prices, preventing violations in the tourism business such as: trading in prohibited goods, counterfeit goods, substandard goods, price gouging, overcharging, price manipulation, and violations of environmental hygiene and food safety regulations.

According to the assessment of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province, during the April 30th and May 1st International Labor Day holidays in 2025, safety, security, and fire prevention were ensured; food safety and environmental hygiene at tourist areas and destinations were relatively clean in accordance with regulations.

The organization and service for visitors throughout the holiday period were ensured, with no unforeseen incidents occurring. Effective implementation of plans to ensure security, safety, fire prevention, and disease prevention for participants in cultural, sports, and tourism activities in the province was also ensured.
