Dak Mil showcases the intangible cultural heritage of ethnic minorities.

The leaders of Dak Mil district presented commemorative flags and flowers to the delegations participating in the program.

On the evening of November 29th, at the Dak Mil District Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Secondary and High School levels), the People's Committee of Dak Mil District ( Dak Nong Province) organized a program to showcase and recreate intangible cultural forms of ethnic minorities in Dak Mil District in 2024.

The program featured the participation of over 100 artisans and amateur performers from the communes of Thuan An, Duc Minh, Long Son, Dak Sak, Dak R'la, Dak N'Drot, Dak Gan, Dak Mil town, and the Dak Mil District Ethnic Boarding Secondary and High School.

The performance included gong music and rice-pounding dances by the M'nong people of Duc Minh commune, Dak Mil district.

The performances showcased and recreated the intangible cultural heritage of ethnic minorities in the district, such as: gong playing and dancing of the M'nong people; zither playing and then singing of the Tay people; Khmer dance; lion dance of the Tay and Nung people; Thai xoe dance, etc.

The Khmer coconut shell dance performance comes from the delegation of Dak Mil town, Dak Mil district.

The program contributes to introducing and widely promoting the intangible cultural heritage of ethnic minority communities in the district. This attracts tourists to the localities within the district, contributing to the promotion of tourism potential and socio-economic development.

Artists from Dak R'la commune, Dak Mil district, performed the Tinh lute and Then singing of the Tay ethnic group with the song "Rural Renewal".

Speaking at the program, Mr. Phan Bá Tịnh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Đắk Mil district, emphasized that preserving the intangible cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities is not only a responsibility but also a meaningful journey in safeguarding and promoting traditional values, contributing to the protection of the cultural diversity of ethnic groups in the district.

The organizing committee awarded certificates to the participating groups for their performances and reenactments of the intangible cultural heritage of ethnic minorities.

This is one of the contents that the People's Committee of Dak Mil district is implementing in Project 6 "Preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development" under the National Target Program for socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas, giai đoạn 2021 – 2025 in Dak Mil district.
