Although it is still in the bidding stage, Truong Thang Construction Investment Company Ltd. has brazenly demolished 10 old classrooms of Chu Van An Secondary School.

On August 20, news from the People's Committee of Duc Lap commune, Lam Dong province, said that Mr. Trinh Giao, Principal of Chu Van An Secondary School (Duc Lap commune, Lam Dong province) had sent a document explaining the matter of allowing a business to dismantle 10 classrooms of the school.

According to the explanation of the principal of Chu Van An Secondary School, in early June 2025, the Project Management Board and Land Fund Development of the old Dak Mil district (now the Dak Mil area Construction Investment Project Management Board) posted a notice inviting bids for the construction of Chu Van An Secondary School.

The scale of the project is a two-story building with 16 classrooms. The contract is worth nearly 9.7 billion VND; of which, more than 46 million VND is the cost of demolishing 10 old classrooms to make way for the new construction.

After the announcement, Truong Thang Construction Investment Company Limited and another company in Duc Lap commune participated in the bidding.

During the time the competent authority was evaluating bids to select a contractor, Truong Thang Investment and Construction Company Limited came to Chu Van An Secondary School to survey and inform the school about dismantling 10 old rooms and preparing to construct a two-story house project with 16 rooms.

The principal of Chu Van An Secondary School said that because he did not know that Truong Thang Investment and Construction Company Limited did not have enough construction documents, he still cooperated to demolish the old construction. At the same time, he admitted that demolishing the construction without written consent from a state agency was against the regulations.

Discussing the construction contract for Chu Van An Secondary School, a leader of the Economic and Infrastructure Department of Duc Lap Commune affirmed that the project is in the bidding stage and has not yet received a start order. Therefore, the old construction cannot be demolished.
