Dak Nong seeks voter opinions on administrative unit reorganization.

Accordingly, in villages, hamlets, and residential areas, teams were established to directly visit each household to distribute questionnaires and gather opinions on the merger of Dak Nong, Lam Dong, and Binh Thuan provinces into a new province called Lam Dong, with its political and administrative center located in Lam Dong province.

Mr. K'Thăn, Head of Sa Nar village, Quang Son commune, Dak Glong district, went to each household to gather voters' opinions on the reorganization of administrative units at all levels.

Regarding the reorganization of commune-level administrative units, for communes that remain unchanged, opinions will be sought to retain their original names and the location of their political and administrative centers. For commune-level units subject to reorganization, in addition to seeking opinions on the proposed reorganization plan, new names, and office locations, opinions will also be sought on the selection of a new name after the reorganization...

Previously, the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 233/KH-UBND dated April 15, 2025, on organizing the collection of voter opinions on the policy of rearranging administrative units at the provincial and commune levels in the province. The plan requires that the voter opinion collection be carried out over two days, April 19-20. By 6 PM on April 20, the groups will compile the opinions and send them to the communes; at 9 AM on April 21, the commune-level People's Committees will compile the voter opinions and send them to the district; and at 11 AM on April 21, the district-level People's Committees will compile the voter opinions and send them to the province.

Ms. Tran Thi Phuc, a staff member of Neighborhood Group 4, Nghia Trung Ward, Gia Nghia City, is gathering opinions from voters regarding the reorganization of administrative units at all levels.

To meet the deadline, the assigned teams proactively gathered opinions regardless of whether it was day or night. In some communes with large areas and dense or scattered populations, the teams began collecting opinions as soon as ballots were available, without waiting until April 19th. During the opinion-gathering process, for issues that voters were unclear about, the officials also explained and analyzed them to create consensus and agreement with the Party's policies.
