Ensuring the safety of women and children.

Building a safe and healthy living environment for women and children is an important and humane goal that requires the responsible involvement of the entire political system and society. Over the years, women's associations at all levels in the province have implemented many practical and specific tasks in ensuring the safety of women and children, thereby demonstrating their function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of women and children.

The Provincial Women's Union, in coordination with other organizations, presented gifts to disadvantaged students in Nam Truc district.

To ensure the safety of women and children, the Women's Union at all levels has strengthened its propaganda work, improving the knowledge and skills of its officials and members; and launched campaigns to respond to the theme "Safety for Women and Children". Accordingly, the Women's Union at all levels invited experts and speakers from the Central and provincial levels, education and psychology experts, and leaders from the Police and Justice sectors to give talks and disseminate information on topics such as: "Safety for Women and Children", "Safety for Women and Children in the Family and School"; prevention and control of domestic violence and gender-based violence; prevention and control of child abuse, adolescent reproductive health care; prevention and control of drowning and injuries to children, "Cultivating Vietnamese Family Values"; "Maintaining Family Happiness and Caring for and Raising Children in the Era of Technology 4.0"... At the same time, it organized the dissemination of the Laws on: Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence; Prevention and Control of Human Trafficking; Preventing child abuse… From 2024 to the present, the Provincial Women's Union has organized thematic talks on "Cultivating Vietnamese Family Values" in three districts: Nghia Hung, Yen Yen, and Vu Ban, attracting 650 delegates. 100% of communes and towns in Hai Hau district organized thematic talks on "Educating Parents on Child Care and Protection". The Truc Ninh District Women's Union, in coordination with the District Labor Federation, held thematic talks on "Maintaining Family Happiness and Raising Children in the Era of Technology 4.0", attracting nearly 300 delegates. In addition, the Provincial Women's Union directed all levels of the Union to actively implement the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence; monitor the situation, gather information, detect and report acts of domestic violence; and mobilize members to participate in crime prevention, drug prevention, and social evils prevention at the grassroots level. Emphasis is placed on monitoring and understanding the thoughts, feelings, and aspirations of female cadres and members. Women's associations at all levels also proactively develop plans and strengthen coordination with functional agencies to integrate crime and social evil prevention activities with the implementation of the "Building a family with 5 no's and 3 clean's" campaign; the "Support for building happy and sustainable families" project; the "Program for coordinating the education and rehabilitation of female prisoners, detainees, and students and helping them reintegrate into the community" plan, giai đoạn 2021-2026; the "Prevention and control of prostitution" plan, giai đoạn 2021-2025... From there, the awareness and understanding of female members and the community regarding the prevention and control of various types of crimes and related social issues in the protection of women and children are enhanced.

Along with propaganda work and ensuring the safety of women and children, 100% of the branches effectively maintain the operation of the "5 No's, 3 Cleanliness Model for Building New Rural Areas," which includes criteria such as "no domestic violence," and "no malnourished or school-dropping children." In addition, the Women's Union at all levels continues to improve the quality of activities of clubs and models such as: "Prevention and Combating Human Trafficking," "Women and the Law," "Women Implementing Food Safety and Hygiene," "Prevention and Combating Child Malnutrition," "Trusted Addresses," "Family Children's Groups," "Breastfeeding," "Parents with Adolescent Children," "When Mothers Are Away," "Exemplary Families," "Building Happy Families," "Families Free from Traffic Safety Violations," "Women's Groups for Progress" comprising victims and families of human trafficking victims in Dong Son commune (Nam Truc district), and "Core Women's Groups" in the towns of Thinh Long (Hai Hau district) and Giao Thuy... To date, the entire province has built and strengthened 349 effective models and clubs on safety for women and children. Many clubs also attract men, married couples, and adolescent girls to participate. The clubs organize regular activities, often focusing on legal education, moral education for Vietnamese women in the era of accelerated industrialization and modernization ("Confidence, self-respect, loyalty, and diligence"); skills and knowledge on child rearing, reproductive health care, sex education; prevention and control of social evils, HIV/AIDS, and human trafficking… Through these activities, awareness is raised and activities to care for and protect women and children are well organized. In addition, the Provincial Women's Union has developed a plan and registered with the Provincial Party Committee to conduct thematic supervision on "Issues related to women and children, with a focus on domestic violence and child abuse." The Women's Union at all levels also proactively researches and promptly resolves complaints within their jurisdiction, and proposes that relevant agencies consider and resolve complaints to protect the legitimate rights and interests of women and children. The Women's Union promptly identifies cases at the grassroots level related to domestic violence and human trafficking to coordinate visits, support, and encouragement for women and children in accordance with the Union's functions and duties... Along with this, the Provincial Women's Union continues to implement Project 3 "Supporting the building of happy and sustainable families" and Project 938 "Propaganda, education, mobilization, and support for women to participate in resolving some social issues related to women in the period 2017-2027," focusing on key issues: safety for women and children, food safety and hygiene, family life education; prevention and control of domestic violence and gender-based violence… In implementing activities to ensure the safety of women and children, the Women's Union at all levels pays special attention to women and children in difficult circumstances. The Provincial Women's Union directed and guided all levels of the Union to review and accurately determine the number and causes of poverty, especially among households headed by women, single mothers, disabled women, and women in difficult circumstances, in order to develop specific assistance plans. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Union at all levels visited and presented 10,237 gifts and cash, worth nearly 4.4 billion VND, to poor women and vulnerable people. Implementing the "Godmother" program, the Union at all levels coordinated with relevant units to provide sponsorship, visits, and gifts to orphaned children and poor students, worth nearly 1.3 billion VND, and the "Border Guard Spring - Warming the Hearts of the People" program in coastal border areas.

Through many effective and practical approaches, women's associations at all levels in the province have contributed to building a safe environment for the comprehensive development of women and children. This has mobilized the entire political system and society to work together for the safety of women and children, affirming the role and position of the women's association.
