In order to ensure the safety of staff, teachers, students and cope with hot weather, thunderstorms, the Department of Education has directed high schools to take many measures to ensure safety for teaching and learning.

To ensure the best conditions for the review work of 12th grade students, the Department of Education and Training has directed high schools to proactively adjust the time for teaching exam preparation classes, avoid the peak time of the hot sun during the day, prioritize studying only in the morning, study earlier and finish school before 10:30 am, if afternoon teaching is held, start studying after 14:30; Notify students' parents about exam preparation time to coordinate management and transportation of students.
At the same time, actively review, repair, supplement and replace lighting and cooling equipment such as electric fans, air conditioners, ventilation fans; shade the sun's direction of the classrooms; increasing drinking water for teachers and students in classrooms; proactively respond to, ensure the safety of officials, teachers and students in the event of thunderstorms, local heavy rains, tornadoes, lightning, strong winds.
The Department of Education and Training, the units under the department have written requests for electricity in the districts and cities to fully supply and maintain the power source for schools to ensure safety and organize efficiency and quality of teaching and exam preparation activities for students in hot weather conditions.
Following the direction of the Department of Education and Training, high schools in the province have promptly implemented measures to ensure exam preparation conditions and safety for students and teachers. Tran Phu High School, Vinh Yen city currently has 11 classes with 434 students in grade 12 studying for exams. The school has completed the inspection, review and consolidation of facilities and equipment, ensuring the best conditions for teaching and learning.
Teacher Nguyen Thi Hong Phuong, Vice Principal of the school said: “In order to ensure the facilities and safety for students and teachers during the review process for the high school graduation exam in 2023, right before the closing ceremony, the school reviewed, checked and strengthened the electrical system, lighting equipment, and cooling equipment in the classrooms; contact and coordinate with a specialized unit to review all trees on the school campus to cut, prune, cut off rotten and damaged branches, to avoid broken or falling trees during storms.
At the same time, arrange a reasonable schedule, avoiding the peak heat time of the day. Currently, the exam preparation classes are mainly taught in the morning and only study 3 afternoons/week, the morning class ends before 10:30, the afternoon class starts after 14:30.
With the view of ensuring the best conditions for students of grade 12 to study with peace of mind, Sang Son High School, Song Lo district has seriously implemented measures to ensure facilities and safety in accordance with the direction of the Education sector.
Teacher Nguyen Van Tho, the school's principal, said: "Currently, the school has 11 classes with 409 students in grade 12 studying for exams. In order to ensure electricity in the school, the school has proposed to the Department of Education and Training to send a written request to Song Lo Electricity to ensure adequate supply and continuous maintenance of electricity for teaching and learning.
Regarding the classrooms, the school has rearranged the position of the 12th graders, choosing classrooms on the lower floors, shaded by trees, and airy. In classrooms being used for exam preparation students, in addition to the existing ceiling fan system, the school has installed a number of wall fans to ensure sufficient cooling. The time of the lessons is also arranged by the school in accordance with the recommendations in the direction of the Department of Education and Training.
Being cared for, creating the best conditions, students and parents of grade 12 students feel secure in the attentive preparation of schools. Ms. Le Thi Huynh, parent of class 12A8, Vinh Yen High School said: "The weather this year is extremely hot, so I am very interested in ensuring the best conditions so that my child can rest assured to review and prepare for the upcoming exam. However, when I know that the school always focuses on ensuring the health and safety of children at school, I am very reassured."
Despite the harsh weather conditions, with the attention and creation of the best conditions by the Education sector and the initiative in ensuring the health and safety of students, the school's 12th graders can rest assured to review and enter the 2023 high school graduation exam with confidence and achieve the highest results.
