During this term, the Hai Phong City Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels have organized 1.665 monitoring sessions; Participated with the National Assembly Delegation, People's Council, and People's Council Committees at the same level to supervise 2.573 meetings; Of which, the city's Fatherland Front organized 99 events. In order to promote the role of the people in supervising and participating in building the Party and government, the Fatherland Front at the commune level has directed the activities of the People's Inspection Board of communes, wards, towns and the Community Investment Supervision Board. . From the beginning of the term until now, the People's Inspection Committees in communes, wards and towns have conducted supervision, inspection and verification of 1.623 cases and recommended 349 cases. Of these, 251 cases have been handled and resolved by competent authorities. The community's Investment Supervision Boards supervised 863 projects and discovered 149 cases and recommendations. Of these, 105 cases were handled and resolved. Thereby, community benefits are better guaranteed.
Regarding social criticism activities, the Fatherland Front at all levels in Hai Phong City has organized 41 social criticism conferences. In particular, the city's Fatherland Front organized 12 conferences, notably on the drafts: "Hai Phong City Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050"; "City social housing development project until 2030"; "New rural construction project for the period 2021 - 2025... Since then, the city's Fatherland Front has gathered and promoted the critical opinions and advice of experts, members of Advisory Councils, scientists, people with extensive practical experience.

In Hai Phong, supervision and social criticism help improve the effectiveness of administrative reform; Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI); administrative reform index (PAR INDEX); Satisfaction index of people and organizations with the services of state administrative agencies (SIPAS); Provincial governance and public administration performance index (PAPI). Through social supervision and criticism activities, the units that are subject to supervision and criticism have made initial changes, helping to improve the responsibility and efficiency of state management in Party building work. Besides the results achieved, Mr. Do Trang Thanh said that the social supervision and criticism work of the Fatherland Front at all levels in Hai Phong still has some limitations. The number of monitoring and criticism sessions is not much. Supervision at the commune level is still weak; Many communes and wards have not yet organized the form of supervision by delegation, mainly participating in supervision with the People's Council at the same level. Re-monitoring of monitoring conclusions has not been carried out. The organization of review conferences is still limited, the main focus is still on giving opinions; There are not many quality, sharp criticisms...
Mr. Thanh analyzed that the reason for the limitations comes from the fact that some localities are still afraid of collision, so they only deploy it for show; Front officials and unions in many places still have limited skills, expertise, and experience. The number of full-time officials at district and commune levels is small, while the Front's tasks are increasing.
To better perform the function of supervision and social criticism in the new conditions, the Hai Phong City Fatherland Front believes that it is necessary to have regular and close leadership and direction from the heads of Party Committees and authorities. . The Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations must proactively and strongly innovate their activities in a profound, thorough and neat direction; Select fields and issues that have high social significance, are of interest to the people, and are consistent with the local practical situation.
