Ðến nay, toàn tỉnh đã củng cố 284 cơ sở DQTV. Xác định “Dân vận khéo thì việc gì cũng thành công”, Bộ Chỉ huy Quân sự tỉnh chú trọng nâng cao chất lượng công tác giáo dục chính trị , tư tưởng trong lực lượng này gắn với đẩy mạnh học tập và làm theo tư tưởng, đạo đức, phong cách Hồ Chí Minh. Từ đó nâng cao nhận thức, động cơ thi đua đúng đắn; 100% DQTV xác định rõ ý thức, trách nhiệm trong thực hiện nhiệm vụ, thường xuyên đổi mới phương pháp, nội dung và hình thức tiến hành công tác vận động quần chúng.
Based on political tasks and practical circumstances, each unit develops plans and organizes militia forces to carry out mass mobilization work with many creative approaches. In particular, they closely link the implementation of local defense and military tasks with socio-economic development, contributing to strengthening the political system at the grassroots level. Militia forces actively coordinate in disseminating information widely among the people about the Party's guidelines, State policies and laws, and local regulations. Along with implementing the Party's resolutions and directives on mass mobilization work, militia forces promote the "Skilled Mass Mobilization" emulation movement and build "Good Mass Mobilization Units." They organize labor activities to help the people, participate in movements launched by the Party, State, military, and local authorities; and organize activities to visit, encourage, and give gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and meritorious individuals. Many localities have developed effective models of militia forces in carrying out mass mobilization work, such as models for: disseminating and educating on the law; ensuring national defense and security, preventing and combating crime; building new rural areas; and eradicating hunger and poverty... in the districts of Muong Nha, Nam Po, and Dien Bien. Militia forces have directly participated in activities such as building the government, consolidating the political system; eradicating hunger and poverty; carrying out policy work and supporting the military; preventing and combating floods, search and rescue; patrolling and protecting political security and social order; and building new rural areas... Thanks to their effective mass mobilization work, militia forces have made significant contributions to building and consolidating the grassroots political system, developing the economy, culture, and society, strengthening national defense and security, and building a solid "people's support" base in the local defense zone.
From 2020 to the present, the entire province has mobilized over 1,200 militia members to participate in disaster prevention and mitigation efforts; and more than 600 people to cooperate in patrolling and protecting the border and boundary markers. During the Covid-19 pandemic, 1,416 militia members were mobilized, contributing nearly 12,500 man-days to checkpoints for disease prevention and control, helping to limit the spread of the disease. Thousands of militia members have coordinated with local authorities and organizations to build houses for the poor and mobilized people to donate land for road construction. Particularly in the construction of new rural areas, thousands of kilometers of roads, irrigation canals, and cultural facilities have been implemented with the participation and coordination of militia forces and other functional forces. Many roads leading to highland villages and hamlets have been expanded with the participation of militia forces, creating favorable conditions for people's travel and production development.
Through mass mobilization work, the militia force has effectively served as a bridge between the Party, the government, and the people, strengthening the people's trust and participating in building a strong local political foundation. The militia force has clearly demonstrated a sense of responsibility to serve the people, continuing to uphold the fine qualities of the armed forces and affirming the effectiveness and role of mass mobilization work in the locality. It can be affirmed that the mass mobilization work of the militia force in the province has upheld the Party's tradition of mass mobilization work. Through practical and concrete actions, the militia force has maintained and strengthened military-civilian solidarity, built a solid foundation of public support, and contributed to the successful implementation of local defense and military tasks.
