Residents of Tien Moi area, Lam Thao commune, contributed their opinions on the rearrangement and renaming of hamlets and residential areas.
During Party branch meetings, residential area meetings, and voter conferences, the Front Committee, along with local Party committees and authorities, directly disseminated the policy and explained the purpose and significance of the relocation. Simultaneously, the public address system, community Zalo groups, and various digital platforms were utilized to transmit information quickly, openly, and transparently to each household.
According to Ta Ngoc Nam, Head of the Front Committee of Tien Moi area, Lam Thao commune: Tien Moi area currently has over 280 households. According to the plan, Tien Moi and Phuong Lai areas will be reorganized into a new Phuong Lai area. Immediately after the plan was announced, we provided full information on the residential area's Zalo group and organized awareness campaigns at meetings to ensure residents understood the plan. Basically, residents in the area agree with the plan to streamline the organization at the grassroots level, but many also expressed a desire to retain the old village name as a way to preserve the traditional values of the locality.
The workload involved in reorganizing and renaming hamlets and residential areas is enormous, directly impacting each household. Therefore, along with developing a scientific plan, localities have identified public relations work as a decisive factor for success. Lam Thao commune has intensified its efforts to disseminate information and address people's concerns. To date, the process of gathering opinions from residents in 23 residential areas (20 areas subject to reorganization and renaming, 3 areas undergoing renaming) has been completed, with 99.34% of votes in favor of the plan, demonstrating high public consensus. The Lam Thao Commune People's Committee will finalize the plan and submit it to the Commune People's Council for consideration and decision according to regulations; at the same time, it will incorporate the opinions of voters to adjust the naming plan for residential areas to suit local realities.
In Chi Tien commune, the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front Committee, and mass organizations mobilized the entire political system to participate in propaganda through various diverse and rich forms, such as through the local broadcasting system, Party branch meetings, residential area meetings, and especially the motto "going to every alley, knocking on every door." Cadres, Party members, and neighborhood leaders directly met with people to explain the goals and significance of the reorganization so that people understood that the reorganization of residential areas not only aimed at streamlining the apparatus and reducing administrative costs but also at improving the effectiveness of state management, promoting self-governance in the community, and creating favorable conditions for socio-economic development in the new period. Thanks to effective ideological work, ensuring transparency, democracy, and promoting the people's right to self-governance according to the motto "The people know, the people discuss, the people do, the people inspect," Chi Tien commune has completed the process of gathering opinions from household representatives, with 100% of participating voters agreeing with the residential area rearrangement plan. This is clear evidence of the effectiveness of grassroots mass mobilization work.
In the coming period, mass mobilization work will continue to be identified as a continuous task, with the motto of being close to the people, respecting the people, listening to the people, and promptly resolving the legitimate concerns and aspirations of the people. This is the "key" to completing the rearrangement and renaming of villages and residential areas, contributing to building a streamlined, effective, and efficient grassroots government that is closer to the people and serves them better.
