Party members lead the way...

Báo Cà MauBáo Cà Mau17/08/2023

Party member Nguyen Viet Khai is not only exemplary, energetic, and responsible in his work, but also a leading figure in spreading and multiplying the entrepreneurial spirit of young people, enriching himself and his homeland.

Focus on building the Party.

With 26 branches and 459 party members, the Tran Hoi Commune Party Committee has consistently been a shining example in Tran Van Thoi district regarding the work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system. For two consecutive years (2021 and 2022), it has been recognized as an outstanding and exemplary Party Committee of the locality.

Ms. Phan Kim Bia, Secretary of the Party Committee of Tran Hoi commune, said: "The most encouraging thing for the Party Committee is that the Party members are extremely exemplary, have prestige and influence, and receive the trust and support of the people in all aspects of their work."

In the story, Ms. Phan Kim Bia shared: “Party members in Tran Hoi, regardless of their position or duties, are wholeheartedly dedicated to the common good. Besides that, most party members have stable family finances , and many have developed effective business models, which then spread and replicate throughout the hamlet and the locality.” It is precisely through their leadership and exemplary conduct in labor, production, and family economic development that the party members of the commune have increasingly built a positive reputation and image among the people.

To be more thorough and maximize the role of Party members and grassroots Party organizations, the Tran Hoi Commune Party Committee has directly assigned members of the Party Committee and the Standing Committee to participate in activities at 26 subordinate Party branches. "Participating in and guiding subordinate Party branches is not just about attending regular branch meetings, but about being thorough, understanding the issues of the Party branches and the lives of the people in the area under our responsibility, and then advising and proposing solutions to the Party Committee to address them promptly and appropriately," shared Ms. Phan Kim Bia.

"Being close to the people, understanding the people, respecting the people, trusting the people, learning from the people, and relying on the people" are the core principles of Party members in Tran Hoi commune. As Mr. Nguyen Van Doan, Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune, said: "If cadres and Party members do not cultivate, study, and train themselves, thereby enhancing their prestige and image, they will first and foremost be unable to fulfill their duties, and more importantly, they will not receive the recognition and trust of the people. Setting an example here means setting an example in all aspects: in life, in work, in speech, and in concrete actions. If cadres and Party members speak and act in a way that the people trust, listen to, support, and follow, then any common task will be successful and achieve good results."

Typical individuals

Having worked in women's affairs in the hamlet for over 30 years, and now serving as the Head of Kinh Cu Hamlet, Ms. Dang Thi Phuong has never lost her enthusiasm and sense of responsibility for her work. Ms. Phuong reflects: “The commune has been recognized as a new rural area, but our hamlet still has 11 poor households. These are all particularly difficult circumstances, and the hamlet, commune, and community are working together to help. But honestly, I believe that any household we help escape poverty must truly be free from poverty and have a stable, sustainable life.”

Ms. Dang Thi Phuong (right in the photo), the female head of Kinh Cu hamlet, Tran Hoi commune, Tran Van Thoi district, is loved and trusted by the people.

Visiting the family of Ms. Tran Thi Anh, a household that escaped poverty two years ago in Kinh Cu hamlet, the homeowner was overjoyed: “I’m so happy to have escaped poverty. I’m even more grateful that the hamlet and commune officials always care about me, come and help, and encourage me. Sometimes I think the officials are more afraid of me falling back into poverty than I am of myself.” After a smile, Ms. Anh confided: “My son and I receive allowances for Agent Orange exposure and disability, and we supplement our income with livestock farming and hired work. We don’t have much money, but we’re quite comfortable.”

For Mr. Nguyen Viet Khai, a civil servant in the Office of Statistics of the People's Committee of Tran Hoi Commune, joining the Party and being trained, striving, and progressing throughout his time working in the hamlet and commune is a great honor and a stroke of luck. As a demobilized soldier, working in the hamlet and then the commune, receiving training and holding the position of Secretary of the Commune Youth Union, participating in the Party Committee, and serving as a civil servant of the People's Committee of the commune – all of this has been a process of tireless effort. Mr. Khai confided: "No matter what the job is, I do it with all my responsibility and ability."

With youthful energy, honed in the military environment, and a dedicated spirit, Mr. Khai is not only devoted to his work but also a leading figure in production. He is one of the pioneers in successfully raising black snails in the commune. Just from raising commercial black snails and snail breeding stock on a 5,000 water surface area, his family's income exceeds 100 million VND per year. This doesn't include the profits from his orchard of various fruit trees such as pomelo, coconut, and sapodilla, two crops of ST rice, freshwater fish, and intercropped vegetables...

Not only did Mr. Khai enrich himself, but he also shared his experiences, both spiritual and material, among the youth union members and neighbors. As a result, the youth union members and farmers of Tran Hoi have new and effective options for startup and production models. The people of Hamlet 10A are familiar with the image of this young official, dedicated to his work for the commune, and after work, he busily visits the fields and harvests snails. In the mornings, he also carries dozens of Siamese coconuts, snail seedlings, and mature snails to deliver to customers.

Ms. Phan Kim Bia concluded: “The responsibility of Party members to set an example is not just empty talk, nor is it about lofty or grandiose things. The prestige and image of Party members are built from the most concrete manifestations in their lives and work. The people are very discerning; they can tell whether cadres and Party members are good or not. Only when cadres and Party members are exemplary and reputable will the policies, guidelines, laws of the Party and State, and the political tasks of the locality be implemented smoothly and successfully.”
