Not only does it create products with a stable market, but the facility also contributes to job creation, connects with local raw material sources, and opens up a direction for economic development suitable to the hilly terrain of the area.

Starting a business late but with certainty.

In 2022, at the age of 36, Nguyen Ngoc Duc officially opened his Tuyet Nhi essential oil production facility. Compared to many others, it was a rather late entrepreneurial decision. But for Duc, late doesn't mean "slow," because behind that choice was a whole process of accumulation, experience, and a burning desire to take control of his life.

Previously, he left his hometown to work as a mechanic in the South, hoping to find a better life. But life in a foreign land didn't meet his expectations. The work was hard, the income was unstable, and day after day he only had enough to cover his basic needs. Duc realized that if he continued to stay, his future would be very difficult to secure. He decided to return home and find a new path.

Initially, Duc helped install an essential oil distillation machine for a friend. What seemed like just a temporary source of income turned out to be a turning point for him. During the process of installing, operating, and monitoring each batch, he gradually gained a deeper understanding of essential oil distillation techniques, how to select raw materials, how to maintain quality, and especially the market potential of natural essential oils.

He began to independently research and study the production process, nurturing the idea of ​​opening his own essential oil production facility. In 2022, after a period of preparation, he officially invested in machinery and equipment, opening the Tuyet Nhi essential oil production facility in Ngo Xa Dong village.

In the early days of opening his business, Mr. Duc faced many difficulties regarding capital, raw materials, and markets. In particular, the lack of a stable supply of raw materials disrupted the production process. Meanwhile, the essential oil market at that time was quite complex, with many counterfeit and adulterated products, causing consumer skepticism and creating difficulties for legitimate businesses.

Undeterred, Mr. Duc continued production while gradually expanding his raw material sourcing area. Thanks to his perseverance and focus on quality, Tuyet Nhi's facility now produces many essential oil products, such as: Cajeput oil, five-veined cajeput oil, lemongrass oil, and stinkweed oil… Each product is distilled according to a guaranteed process, preserving the natural aroma and purity, serving the needs of consumers.

"To produce a high-quality bottle of essential oil, the most important factors are clean raw materials and proper distillation techniques. If the raw materials are substandard or the distillation process is done incorrectly, the quality of the essential oil will change. Therefore, I always consider reputation to be the most important thing to retain long-term customers," Mr. Duc shared.

Each month, Tuyet Nhi's facility produces approximately 100 liters of essential oil, generating an estimated revenue of around 120 million VND. Notably, the facility provides regular employment for many local workers, with an income of approximately 300,000 VND per day, contributing to job creation in rural areas.

Beyond just production, Mr. Duc also focuses on brand building and standardizing quality management processes. To date, the facility's products have been certified ISO 9001:2015, creating an important foundation for market expansion and meeting the increasingly high demands of consumers. The facility is also aiming to elevate its products and develop them into a leading provincial-level product in the near future.

Linking raw material sources and creating livelihoods for farmers.

Currently, Tuyet Nhi essential oils are not only consumed locally but are also available in many provinces and cities nationwide, mainly in Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, and the central provinces. The product is also actively promoted by the company through participation in trade fairs, promotional programs, and sales networking, thereby expanding the market and increasing brand recognition.

To ensure a stable supply of raw materials, in addition to investing in machinery and expanding production scale, Mr. Duc has gradually built up a local raw material area. Currently, his facility has more than 2 hectares of land for growing raw materials, but this only meets about 30% of the demand. To ensure a consistent supply of raw materials, Mr. Duc has partnered with local people to purchase materials and has also encouraged them to expand the area for growing Melaleuca alternifolia and lemongrass.

Thanks to a stable output, many households have boldly invested in proper care and cultivation techniques, gradually improving economic efficiency per unit area. This approach not only helps businesses maintain consistent production but also creates additional income for the people.

According to Mr. Phan Van Phung, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Trieu Co commune, Mr. Duc's essential oil production model is an effective approach, suitable to the local conditions, as it utilizes natural melaleuca trees and develops additional raw material cultivation areas.

This is one of the bright spots in rural economic development in the locality. Not only does it enrich individuals, but the Tuyet Nhi essential oil facility also supports many farmers in participating in production, increasing their income and spreading the spirit of bold entrepreneurship to many other farmer members. With continued support in trade promotion, product advertising, brand building, and expanding the raw material area, the facility will have better conditions for stable development, creating more motivation for farmers to boldly switch to other production methods.
