Along the village roads and fields in Cong Da residential area, waste is collected neatly and in designated areas. Pesticide packaging is properly disposed of instead of being carelessly discarded in the fields as before. These positive changes show a significant improvement in people's awareness. Many households have proactively integrated environmental protection responsibilities into every stage of their farming process, contributing to a clean and beautiful landscape and a civilized way of life.
Ms. Le Kim Tuyen from Cong Da residential area shared: “We only use biological pesticides, minimizing the use of harmful chemical pesticides. After use, packaging is collected and disposed of properly; no one throws it haphazardly into ditches or fields anymore. This is both a general regulation and has become a habit in the daily production of the people.”

For vegetable growers in Cong Da, keeping the soil and water free from pollution is crucial for producing clean produce. The entire production process, from soil preparation and care to harvesting, is carried out according to strict procedures. Farmers do not use chemical fertilizers indiscriminately, but prioritize the use of well-rotted manure. In particular, the pre-harvest waiting period is strictly adhered to in order to minimize the risk of pesticide residue, ensuring safe vegetables for the market.
Ms. Tran Thi Kim Quyen from Cong Da residential area shared: "Growing clean vegetables requires adhering to quarantine periods and limiting the use of nitrogen fertilizers and pesticides. Only then can we ensure safety for consumers without harming the environment."

Currently, the Cong Da residential area has about 1.7 hectares of land dedicated to growing safe vegetables, mainly managed by members of the Au Lau Safe Vegetable Cooperative. This is not only a vegetable growing area serving local consumption needs but also a prime example of combining agricultural economic development with environmental protection.
In particular, the cooperative not only focuses on production but also pays attention to improving the knowledge and skills of its members. Regularly, members participate in training courses on safe vegetable cultivation techniques, proper agricultural waste disposal, rational fertilizer use, and measures to protect soil and water ecosystems.
Through these activities, people's awareness of sustainable agricultural production is increasingly enhanced. Each farming household is not only a link in the clean food supply chain but also a "gatekeeper" of the environment, contributing to preserving the landscape and protecting natural resources for the community.

Mr. Nguyen Trinh Huy, Director of the Au Lau Safe Vegetable Cooperative, said: "The cooperative has established a very strict process. All pesticide packaging after use is collected in a storage tank to prevent leakage into the environment. Manure is also thoroughly composted before application. All of this is for the health of the community and the long-term development of the vegetable growing area."
From a shift in awareness to concrete actions, the model of safe vegetable farming linked to environmental protection in Cong Da is proving to be a sustainable direction for local agriculture. The results are not only clean vegetable plots but also contribute to protecting public health and promoting agricultural development in a safe and environmentally friendly direction.
