A view from above of Xuan Dai commune in the highlands shows the vast, fertile Kim Thuong field nestled beside endless, lush green forests.
Visiting Xuan Dai commune in the highlands these days, one can easily sense the vibrant new energy emanating from the people's way of thinking and doing things. Along the main road through the commune, a synchronized lighting system and solar-powered security cameras have been installed, contributing to ensuring security and order and improving the quality of life. The headquarters of the Party Committee and People's Committee have been renovated and upgraded, creating favorable conditions for people and businesses to conduct transactions and resolve administrative procedures.
While introducing the local area's groundbreaking new models and projects, Comrade Le Thao, Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, stated: "Along with consolidating the organizational structure, the locality is focusing on effectively exploiting the potential of forest land, promoting the shift in crop and livestock structure to create a foundation for sustainable agricultural and forestry development."

People can carry out administrative procedures quickly and conveniently at the Xuan Dai Commune Public Administrative Service Center.
Viewed from above, Xuan Dai resembles a picturesque landscape painting, both rustic and majestic. Standing out amidst the vast green forest is the expansive Kim Thuong field – a key food production area of the locality, with its sprawling, verdant rice paddies. Deep within the residential areas, a vibrant new life emerges through promising models of commercial agricultural production .
On the hillsides, tea plants are becoming a stable source of livelihood for many households. Currently, the locality maintains 103 hectares of tea plantations, with a fresh tea leaf production of 23.8 tons in the first quarter of 2026; including one green tea product that has achieved OCOP 3-star standard.
Besides tea cultivation, models for producing specialty sour bamboo shoots and processing agricultural and forestry products linked to local advantages are also gradually expanding in scale, reviving traditional crafts and creating a solid product consumption chain for the people.

Officials from Xuan Dai commune inspected and encouraged the production and business activities of cooperatives in the area.
Besides focusing on production development, Xuan Dai is also gradually improving its infrastructure to serve socio-economic development. One of the most significant projects is the Doan Ket Bridge - a bridge built after a major flood swept away the old bridge, cutting off traffic between residential areas.
What's remarkable is not only the support from businesses but also the solidarity of the local people. Dozens of households voluntarily donated land and contributed labor to build a hundreds-meter-long access road connecting the two ends of the bridge. Although the new road is currently a dirt road, the foundation is solid, creating favorable conditions for travel and goods transportation.
The bridge named "Doan Ket" (Unity) not only connects villages but also becomes a symbol of community strength and the consensus between the Party's will and the people's aspirations. When the road connecting Xuan and Quyen 1 areas is completed, bottlenecks in trade will be removed, creating conditions for local agricultural and forestry products to reach wider markets.

The Doan Ket Bridge, connecting residential areas, was built with funding from businesses and the voluntary donation of land for access roads by the people of Xuan Dai commune.
Furthermore, the national power grid, telecommunications infrastructure, postal services, and a network of schools meeting national standards continue to be important foundations contributing to raising the intellectual level and improving the material and spiritual lives of the people.
With a forest cover rate of 95.4%, Xuan Dai possesses great potential for developing forestry and green economies. The locality is focusing on developing large timber forests linked to FSC sustainable forest management certification to enhance the value of forest products. Alongside this, the potential for developing ecotourism and community-based tourism in the Xuan Son National Park area is also opening up many new opportunities, attracting an increasing number of tourists to visit and experience.
At midday in the highlands, a heartwarming meal featuring local specialties like stream fish, stream duck, sour bamboo shoots, and multi-toed chickens tells the story of the abundance that nature has generously bestowed upon this land. Over cups of green tea imbued with the flavors of the mountains, the conversation about the future development of Xuan Dai continues.
From vast forests and lush green tea hills to bridges connecting hearts and minds, the lifeblood of Xuan Dai's development is being unleashed through the concerted efforts of the government and the people. The potential of the land and forests is gradually being awakened, promising to lead the area, home to Xuan Son National Park, on a new path of development.
