One of the hallmarks of innovation in Dong Bang commune is its Party building work. The commune Party Committee has developed and promulgated the working regulations of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Party Committee's Standing Board; at the same time, it has promoted a spirit of responsibility, dedication, self-respect, and contribution among cadres and Party members to contribute to building a streamlined, strong, efficient, and effective apparatus. Comrade Luu Thi Hoa, Head of the Party Building Committee of Dong Bang commune, said: "To ensure that each cadre and Party member is a shining example and a leading role model, the Party Committee has determined to focus on leading the effective implementation of Party building tasks, with the main focus being the continued effective implementation of Central Resolutions 4, 11th and 12th Congresses and the Conclusion of the 4th Central Conference, 13th Congress, on Party building and rectification, combined with promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style. We are strengthening the training and improvement of revolutionary moral qualities for cadres, Party members, and the people." Promote activities honoring exemplary Party organizations and members, and good examples of good deeds, while simultaneously protecting cadres, Party members, and the public in the fight against and denunciation of corruption and negative practices. Implement measures to protect the Party's ideological foundation, refute erroneous and hostile viewpoints, and combat "peaceful evolution," especially harmful and toxic information on the internet and social media.
Considered the "key of keys" in Party building, the Party Committee of Dong Bang commune places special emphasis on personnel work. According to Comrade Nguyen Quoc Viet, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Dong Bang commune: "The work of rotating, transferring, appointing, and reappointing cadres and civil servants is carried out cautiously, seriously, democratically, openly, transparently, and objectively; appointed cadres meet the standards and conditions as prescribed. By November 27, 2025, the Standing Committee of the commune's Party Committee had appointed 20 comrades. Through evaluation, the cadres who were transferred, rotated, and appointed are basically suitable, have matured, accumulated much practical knowledge, have demonstrated their roles and responsibilities, quickly adapted to new work, and successfully completed their assigned tasks." Along with this, the socio-economic sector is also given significant attention by the commune. Following the merger, Dong Bang commune is focusing on leveraging its existing potential, directing comprehensive economic development, and creating a stable source of revenue for the local budget. By the end of 2025, the total production value of the commune is estimated to reach VND 1,724.3 billion, achieving 100.06% of the annual plan, an increase of 10.57% compared to 2024. Average per capita income is projected at VND 75.2 million per year. Crop production will maintain stable development, focusing on increasing the value and efficiency of land use and promoting the strengths of key crops. Livestock farming will continue to develop towards farm and household-scale production, improving quality and gradually reducing small-scale farming in residential areas to ensure environmental hygiene. Industry, handicrafts, and basic construction will continue to play a driving role in the local growth. Trade and service activities will experience strong development. Rural markets operate with diverse and abundant goods, ensuring a stable supply without shortages or price spikes, thus meeting the needs of production, business, and consumption of the people.

Land clearance work and the movement of people donating land and assets on their land to expand transportation routes are among the most prominent and significant achievements in the Mekong Delta in recent times. Mr. Vu Huu Duyet, from Mai Trang village, said: "The main road in Mai Trang village is small, narrow, and dilapidated, greatly affecting the lives and activities of the people. We have petitioned many times, but the issue has remained unresolved for a long time. However, just a few months after the new commune merger, the Party Committee and local government paid attention, listened, and invested in expanding the transportation route. Thanks to this sound policy, the people in the village also wholeheartedly supported and donated land and assets on their land. To date, 72 households have donated a total area of over 1,000 square meters to expand the road. The new 7-meter-wide road with a modern drainage system is gradually taking shape, truly fulfilling the long-awaited aspirations of the people." In Dong Bang village, 65 households have donated 3,500 square meters of agricultural land to build a new rural road. This is an important road connecting to the main transportation routes in the commune, not only facilitating easier travel for villagers but also contributing to the development of agricultural production.
With the motto "the government is supportive, open-minded, and attentive," Dong Bang commune has achieved remarkable results, creating an important foundation for the commune to continue developing more rapidly in the coming period.
