In Tran Yen commune, driven by the practical need to expand infrastructure, the Standing Committee of the Commune Party Committee issued a resolution on building a movement of "Relocating fences, donating land to expand and upgrade transportation routes," thereby arousing the self-awareness and consensus of the people, creating clear changes right from the grassroots level.

The mass organizations of Tran Yen commune directly went to households to promote the "Removing fences, donating land to expand and upgrade transportation routes" movement.

The resolution clearly identifies this as a key political task with strategic significance in the development of transportation infrastructure, contributing to building Tran Yen commune into a modern, civilized, and exemplary new rural commune with synchronized infrastructure; creating a foundation for the "Socialist Commune" model where the people are the main actors, the political system operates effectively, and the community is united and developing.

Comrade Le Tien Manh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Tran Yen Commune.

In the spirit of the Resolution of the Standing Committee of the Commune Party Committee, the movement was organized and implemented synchronously and systematically, with the participation of the entire political system. In particular, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tran Yen Commune played a core role in propaganda and mobilization, bringing the Party's policies into the lives of the people through concrete and practical methods.

The consistent approach chosen by the commune is to publicly disclose the planning, surveying, and clear demarcation; to organize public meetings and direct dialogues so that people understand the purpose, significance, and long-term benefits of donating land for road construction.

The movement was implemented in a coordinated and systematic manner, with the involvement of the entire political system.

As a result, the movement quickly spread widely to many villages and residential areas in the commune such as Phuc Dinh, Lan Dinh, Truc Dinh, Phu My, Lang Qua, Lang Dong, Khe Nhai… In 2025 alone, dozens of households voluntarily moved fences, donated land, and dismantled auxiliary structures to expand rural roads. Many previously narrow and dilapidated roads have now been widened and paved with concrete, creating a more presentable appearance and facilitating travel, trade, and production development.

The main road in Phuc Dinh village has been widened and will soon be paved with concrete.

In Phuc Dinh village, the main road, which was previously only 3.5 meters wide and over 1.5 km long, has now been widened to 5.5 meters. This success is thanks to the active contributions of more than 100 households, who voluntarily donated land, moved fences, contributed money and labor. The residents also agreed to contribute funds and labor to hire bulldozers to level the ground. The village also considered waiving or reducing contributions for households that donated a large amount of land or were in difficult circumstances, ensuring fairness and reasonableness.

The section of the fence around Ms. Pham Thi Tai's house in Phuc Dinh village has been moved back 2 meters.

The family of Ms. Pham Thi Tai is one of the exemplary households in donating land. Their house is located right on the main road, and the entire sturdy fence, over 200 meters long, was voluntarily dismantled by the family. They also donated an additional 2 meters of land to widen the road.

Ms. Pham Thi Tai shared: "Wide roads make the village look more presentable, facilitate travel, and benefit our children and grandchildren in the long term. After donating the land, our family also received support from the village to rebuild the fence, ensuring stable living conditions."

Providing further information on the implementation of the movement at the grassroots level, Mr. Luu Van Luan, Head of Phuc Dinh village, said that to gain people's consent to donate land, the most important thing is to do a good job of propaganda, transparency, and setting a good example. From the beginning, the Party branch and the village's Front Committee organized meetings with the people, clearly informing them of the commune's policy, the width of the road, the area of land to be donated, and the construction plan. Any concerns the people had were discussed frankly and explained in detail so that they understood and felt confident in participating.

Mr. Luan also believes that the movement of donating land to build roads not only brings a new look to villages but also contributes to strengthening the spirit of solidarity within the community.

"With wider roads, travel and transportation of agricultural products are more convenient, and land values are also increased. More importantly, people feel they are truly the main actors, directly contributing to building their homeland, thus becoming even more attached to and united with the policies of the Party and the State," emphasized Luu Van Luan, head of Phuc Dinh village.

The spirit of serving the common good is also clearly demonstrated along the Tan Dong - Cam An inter-communal road. Many households have donated large areas of land and cut down perennial trees to facilitate road construction. Notable examples include Mr. Nguyen Dang Bay's household in Lang Qua village, who voluntarily donated over 2,000 m² of land; and Ms. Van Thi Thanh's household in Khe Nhai village, who donated over 1,000 m² of land and cut down over 1,000 cinnamon trees and many other types of trees. These quiet but meaningful actions have contributed to the formation of a wide and smooth inter-communal road, creating momentum for socio-economic development in the entire area.

The people cut down trees and donated land to widen the road.

Furthermore, the Bao Dap - Tan Dong road project, nearly 1 km long and with a total investment of approximately 24 billion VND, has been implemented smoothly thanks to the high level of public consensus. Along the route, 29 households voluntarily dismantled fences and auxiliary structures, donating nearly 5,000 m² of land to hand over a clean site to the construction unit. This is clear evidence of the effectiveness of skillful public relations work when the right policy is implemented using appropriate methods.

The road expansion has created favorable conditions for trade and socio-economic development.

To date, the total length of roads expanded through land donated by the people in Tran Yen commune has reached over 9 km, including more than 5 km in the Thanh Thinh cluster and more than 4 km in the Tan Dong - Cam An inter-cluster route. 100% of the commune's roads have been paved, gradually meeting the development requirements of the new phase.

Evaluating the movement, Comrade Le Tien Manh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Tran Yen commune - affirmed: "The results achieved are the culmination of the Party's will and the people's aspirations. The resolution of the Standing Committee of the commune's Party Committee clearly defined the goal by 2030: expanding 100% of inter-village and alley roads according to the plan; upgrading 20-25 roads; ensuring over 95% of households participate in donating land and relocating fences; and preventing the emergence of hotspots and land-related disputes."

In the coming period, the Fatherland Front will continue to innovate the content and methods of propaganda and mobilization; promote the exemplary role of cadres, Party members, and influential people in the community; and promptly commend and reward outstanding collectives and individuals. The goal is to help each citizen understand that donating land for road construction is not only a responsibility to the community but also brings direct and long-term benefits to their own families.

Comrade Nguyen Minh Thanh - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tran Yen Commune.

Currently, in Tran Yen commune, many inter-village roads have been widened thanks to the residents' willingness to donate land.

From donated land, relocated fences, and newly opened roads, not only has the rural landscape become more modern and attractive, but it has also strengthened the people's trust in the Party's leadership and the administration of the local government.

The "Moving fences, donating land to expand and upgrade transportation routes" movement therefore not only has significance in terms of infrastructure, but also serves as a vivid testament to the strength of national unity, and is an important foundation for Tran Yen commune to move towards the goal of sustainable, civilized, prosperous and beautiful development in the coming years.
