Local efforts
In Nui Thanh commune, the rapid increase in total social development investment over the past period has helped the locality upgrade its technical infrastructure, creating quite comprehensive changes. The administrative, educational , and medical infrastructure systems have been invested in and upgraded; the drainage system, clean water supply, squares, parks, green spaces, sports arenas, performance halls, etc., have been built and upgraded to meet the living needs of the people.
The power grid system has been invested in and improved, and now 100% of households have access to electricity, and 100% of main roads in residential areas have street lighting.
Many urban, district, and commune roads, as well as rural roads, have been expanded and newly constructed to ensure smooth traffic flow. In particular, many large-scale projects have been invested in and built by the central government, the province, and businesses, such as industrial park infrastructure, Vo Chi Cong road, Truong Hai port, and Chu Lai airport.
Many residential areas have been developed with synchronized technical infrastructure, contributing to accelerating urbanization and rural development in the area. Mr. Hoang Chau Son, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nui Thanh commune, said: "The locality will continue to mobilize resources to invest in and complete infrastructure to develop urban areas, build new rural areas, develop economic sectors, and serve the needs of the people."
In Thang Dien commune, by mobilizing resources and contributions from the people, the government has built a comprehensive technical and social infrastructure to serve the socio-economic development of the locality.
Mr. To Van Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Da Nang City People's Committee, believes that Thang Dien commune is quite favorable for developing key economic sectors such as processing industries, high-quality agriculture , cultural, historical, and ecological tourism. In addition, small-scale industries, services, and trade in the central areas of the commune have also gained momentum for development.
To promote economic development, continue creating jobs, and increase people's income, the commune government needs to focus on developing a general plan for the commune. Along with detailed planning for key, strategic projects, the locality needs to invest in the synchronized development of technical infrastructure as soon as possible.
Thang Dien commune needs to coordinate closely with the city's departments and agencies to effectively develop technical infrastructure, proposing important technical infrastructure projects related to transportation, electricity, clean water, and essential public works serving the people.
Local authorities need to proactively coordinate with telecommunications companies to improve the quality of internet connectivity, creating a foundation for digital government, digital economy, and digital society, ensuring 100% of villages and residential areas are covered by 4G/5G.
Large investment company
On August 28th, Truong Hai Group Joint Stock Company (THACO) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of the Chu Lai Truong Hai Automotive Mechanical Industrial Park. This project not only marks a new step in THACO's development strategy for the mechanical engineering and supporting industries but also reflects its aspiration to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.

In the context of the reshaping of global supply chains, Vietnam's mechanical engineering and supporting industries have many opportunities to assert their role in the world's production network.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tue, Deputy General Director of THACO, said that with its strategic vision, THACO has built a solid foundation in the field of mechanical engineering and supporting industries, forming a large-scale, regionally-oriented specialized industrial park for concentrated production, operated by THACO INDUSTRIES Group.
Many products from THACO INDUSTRIES have been exported to more than 20 countries, affirming its position in the international market. According to Mr. Tue, THACO invested in building the expanded Chu Lai Truong Hai Automotive Mechanical Industrial Park to connect mechanical products, components and spare parts, creating automated equipment, intelligent control systems, and high-tech products.
The industrial park is planned on an area of 115 hectares, with a total investment of nearly 8,000 billion VND, following the model of a new generation industrial park, developing green, automated, smart, modern, and integrating digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI).
The investment categories include factories producing next-generation components and parts, manufacturing electronic circuit boards, components, and smart electrical and electronic equipment; factories for manufacturing and assembling electromechanical and automation equipment, 3D printing equipment, next-generation CNC equipment, light civil aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, and fast charging stations for electric vehicles...
All operations at the center are implemented in a closed-loop process. THACO will continue to develop a highly skilled and specialized workforce to produce technologically innovative products and participate deeply in the global supply chain.
The commencement of construction on the expanded Chu Lai Truong Hai Automotive Mechanical Industrial Park contributes to completing the value chain of mechanical manufacturing and supporting industries of THACO. The expanded mechanical center will produce high-tech products, while also utilizing some outputs from the Da Nang High-Tech Park.
This creates an integrated and complementary ecosystem, contributing to making Da Nang one of the country's high-tech and supporting industry centers, boosting the local economy, attracting investment, creating more jobs for people, and contributing to Vietnam's infrastructure development and mechanical engineering industry strategy.
According to Phan Thai Binh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Chu Lai City, the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone has affirmed its position as a growth hub for industry, services, and logistics in the Central region, with the THACO complex as the core forming an ecosystem for automobile manufacturing and assembly, mechanical engineering, components, seaports, logistics, and support services.
THACO's expanded Chu Lai Truong Hai Automotive Mechanical Industrial Park continues to improve its infrastructure, attracting manufacturing and trading businesses and connecting to the global value chain.
To ensure the project progresses on schedule and meets quality standards, THACO focuses its resources on organizing efficient and safe construction, while strictly adhering to land and environmental regulations.
Departments, agencies, and localities should accompany and support businesses in investment, land, construction, and environment to ensure projects are implemented on schedule. The business community needs to survey investment opportunities in industrial parks...
