The anticipation for Apple's first foldable phone is heating up more than ever as the latest leaks begin to surface. According to a report from the tech magazine AppleInsider , the product will most likely not be called "iPhone Fold" as previously predicted.
Instead, Apple will likely use the name iPhone Ultra to position itself in the ultra-premium segment.
This information originates from a leaking account called "WayLabs" on the social media platform Weibo . According to this source, iPhone Ultra is not a new model but the official name for the foldable iPhone. This name change is believed to align with Apple's successful branding strategy for the Apple Watch Ultra and its high-end processor lines.
In terms of price, the iPhone Ultra is expected to set a new record for the most expensive phone in Apple's history. Specifically, the standard version is predicted to have a starting price of $1,500 (approximately over 40 million VND). Notably, for the highest-spec version, the price could reach $3,000 (equivalent to 80 million VND).

According to AppleInsider's analysis, this projected price is entirely reasonable when compared to the cost of producing foldable displays and Apple's market position.
Not just limited to phones, sources from "WayLabs" indicate that Apple is also working to enhance the value of its entire product ecosystem by launching additional "Ultra" product lines.
Specifically, AirPods Ultra may be equipped with an infrared camera, and a MacBook Ultra model with a touch-sensitive OLED display is also in development.
However, analysts remain cautious. Although the "Ultra" name sounds more promising than the current Pro Max line, integrating superior specifications into a thin and lightweight foldable screen design remains a challenge.
Furthermore, since WayLabs is a relatively new source in the leak market, the accuracy of this information still needs further verification through reports from the supply chain.
However, if this information is accurate, the iPhone Ultra would not only be a leap forward in display technology but also a statement from Apple in capturing the high-end customer segment, those who are willing to pay double the price of a regular iPhone to own the most cutting-edge technologies.
