This move comes just one year after Dell decided to discontinue the XPS line at CES 2025 (the annual consumer electronics trade show in Las Vegas, USA) in order to standardize its computer models. Currently, Dell has introduced Base, Plus, and Premium versions for each model.

The new Dell XPS series includes two models: XPS 14 and XPS 16.

"We're returning to our roots, focusing even more strongly on consumers and gamers," said Jeff Clarke, Vice President and CEO of Dell Technologies. The XPS is back, better than ever, with a completely new design that delivers superior sophistication in the slimmest form factor ever. We're also bringing back the XPS 13 as the most accessible XPS line ever."
Why Dell is bringing the XPS line back.
The new XPS line has been completely redesigned, differing not only from its predecessor but also featuring a new look to distinguish it from Dell Premium models. The new XPS laptops return to traditional function keys, instead of the touch icons found on Dell Premium laptops.
In terms of specifications, Dell equips the new XPS laptop line with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors and Intel Arc graphics cards with 12 Xe cores, promising up to 50% faster graphics performance compared to previous generations.

The price of this product line is not cheap, starting from $2,050.

Battery life is also impressive, offering up to 27 hours of continuous use while streaming Netflix in 4K resolution and potentially lasting over 40 hours with reduced screen brightness and local video playback in Full HD.
The XPS 14 weighs just 1.36 kg, while the XPS 16 is slightly heavier at 1.63 kg. However, the price tag for XPS products isn't cheap, with the XPS 14 costing around $2,050 and the XPS 16 at $2,200. Dell also promises to bring the XPS 13 to a more accessible price point to bring the sophistication of the XPS line closer to consumers.
