The sea is one of the greatest sources of inspiration in classical music . Beginning with sounds like waves, "The Sea Is Calm" and "The Voyage Is Smooth" resonate with the inspiring blend of tranquility and ferocity of the ocean.
These two works were written in 1815, while the composer Beethoven was facing hearing loss. However, this only added to the dramatic intensity of the pieces. The scene of the calm sea before the ship begins its journey, combined with the serene melodies, wonderfully portrays the harmony between man and nature.
The composer Beethoven dedicated his entire life to music, bringing about bold innovations and creating works of enduring value.
