The ripe rice season in Tam Coc (Hoa Lu, Ninh Binh) usually starts in May every year. When the painting of Tam Coc is painted in bright yellow, it is also the time of Ninh Binh Tourism Week, with the theme "Golden colors of Tam Coc - Trang An".
The highlight of this year's poetic Tam Coc rice field with an area of more than 9.500 square meters is the painting "Ly Ngu Vong Nguyet", also known as the carp playing the moon, which is depicted by the wet rice plant itself, thereby conveying the wishes of the local people to pray for peace in the country, favorable rain and favorable weather, and a bountiful harvest.
On the opening day, a group of boats followed each other to take visitors to experience on the Ngo Dong river, see and admire one of the 5 most beautiful fields in Vietnam right in the ripe season. As the first guest to attend the festival, Ms. Nguyen Hoa Thu (50 years old) from Nam Dinh, enjoys sitting on the boat to admire the scenery, take pictures and sometimes livestream to introduce for everyone at home to watch. "I have never seen a dragon procession on a boat, and have seen such beautiful mountains and rivers with golden rice water," she marveled.

The journey of worship in the land of the masterpieces
Coming to Ninh Binh, tourists cannot ignore spiritual destinations in Gia Vien district, because this is the land of "birth of a king, of a saint", where King Dinh Tien Hoang and saint Nguyen Minh Khong (Ly Quoc Su) were born.

During the journey of worship, visitors also visit Van Bong temple, also known as Dinh Bo Linh temple - another ancient temple in Gia Phuong commune, worshiping King Dinh Tien Hoang. This is the original hometown, the place where the king was born and also the hometown of many famous generals of the Dinh dynasty.
Our delegation was fortunate to witness and participate in the award ceremony of typical students in the school year 2022-2023 of a primary school in the area. In the sound of drums and the solemn reading of the elders, both students and visitors can feel the sacred and proud atmosphere.
Check-in the flower road as beautiful as Korean movies
The first impression for visitors to Khanh Thien is the peaceful village atmosphere, developed infrastructure, and clean and beautiful village roads. As a model of a new rural spot, with many traditional craft villages and hard-working people, they have brought a full life in this countryside.
In particular, the 2km long flower road with colorful confetti, iridescent flowers, straight pruned trees, etc. was built in 2019 connecting Khanh Tien and Khanh Thien communes, making visitors full of praise.

But, Khanh Thien is not only flower street. There are also many places that can be combined with tourism, with valuable historical and cultural relics, hundreds of years old such as Do Pagoda, Quan Tham Temple, Hang Tong communal house; or attractions of Au Xanh bridge, Green wharf connecting with Nam Dinh province on the other side of Day river, national food reserve, etc.
This place is also known for its unique and diverse culinary culture, delicious dishes that captivate visitors. In which, sesame rice cake, chao pork leg and square ham of Khanh Thien commune are three typical delicacies from 18 specialties of the commune and are traditional dishes, preserved and transmitted by the people here until now.
Along with Phong An culinary village, Khanh Thien commune also has a bonsai craft village, a wicker craft village (sedge, sedge, jute, straw), organic vegetable growing...
With such potentials, Khanh Thien aims to develop agricultural tourism. The project for this model is under construction, expected to be deployed from 2023-2030, with a vision to 2040 with a total investment of nearly 52 billion VND.
Mr. Pham Van Toan, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Thien Commune, shared that people here are ready to join the local community, such as renovating their houses, ensuring equipment for noodle production, and ensuring food hygiene.
However, travel agencies said that the locality should soon complete the product system, have specific activities to increase the guest experience, and pack more attractive agricultural products to be included in the visitor's tour program.
