The new cabinet of US President-elect Donald Trump is expected to bring together prominent figures with unwavering loyalty and proven competence, reflecting a shift in his approach to personnel compared to his previous term.

According to CNN on November 12th, while the unpredictable nature of US President-elect Trump makes any personnel choices uncertain, the names mentioned for the new cabinet share one striking commonality: unwavering loyalty to him. Especially in the aftermath of his first presidential term, marked by numerous accusations, those chosen are known for demonstrating exceptional respect for Trump in television interviews. This stems from lessons learned during his previous term, when many officials, such as former FBI Director James Comey, made Trump feel "betrayed" by prioritizing their oath to the Constitution over loyalty to him. It appears that Trump's current process of announcing his personnel choices is more organized than in 2016, largely thanks to the role of Susie Wiles, nominated as White House Chief of Staff after her successful campaign. The list of new cabinet members includes names such as Senator Marco Rubio (nominated for Secretary of State), Republican Congressman Elise Stefanik of New York (selected as US Ambassador to the United Nations), Florida Congressman Michael Waltz (selected as National Security Advisor), and former Director of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency Tom Homan... Each represents an aspect of Trump's political ideology and reflects his desire for post-election policy changes, which attracted tens of millions of voters to support him.
Notably, most of the candidates have impressive track records. For example, Marco Rubio, a former presidential candidate, is a member of the Senate Foreign Relations and Intelligence Committees. Elise Stefanik, a Harvard graduate, served as an aide to former President George W. Bush and is one of the highest-ranking female Republican members of the House of Representatives. Michael Waltz has combat experience in Afghanistan, the Middle East, and Africa, while Tom Homan specializes in border issues. Alyssa Farah Griffin, former White House Communications Director under Trump and now a CNN commentator, noted that these choices are all "certainly qualified" for their positions. She also pointed out the stark difference in the pace and method of personnel selection this time compared to Trump's first term.
