Lieutenant Colonel Truong Thuy Duong is currently a staff member at the Technical Supplies Depot, Warehouse 700, Logistics and Technical Department, Vietnam Navy, a place that emphasizes regularity and discipline. Having dedicated nearly 15 years to this duty, Thuy Duong deeply understands that if the front lines are the ships braving the waves or the sturdy offshore platforms, then warehouse soldiers like her are the "lifeblood" ensuring that strength is always maintained.

The unique coastal climate and the diversity of technical supplies require warehouse staff to be meticulous and careful in every step of the storage process. This working environment has instilled in Thuy Duong a professional demeanor, a sense of responsibility, and seriousness in her work.
Thùy Dương's persistent efforts have been recognized with many prestigious titles such as: Outstanding Soldier at the grassroots level in 2024 and 2025; Outstanding Military Personnel of Warehouse 700 in the period 2022-2025; Outstanding Military Personnel of the Logistics and Technical Department in the period 2022-2025; and especially the title "Promising Young Naval Figure" in 2025. This is not only a reward for her continuous efforts but also a testament to the maturity of a female military officer in the new era.
A particularly memorable moment in Thùy Dương's military career was her three prestigious participations in national-level parades and marches: A50, A70, and A80. The arduous training days on the field not only honed her character and willpower but also instilled in her a disciplined and professional work ethic. Each time she undertook a mission, Thùy Dương felt secure knowing her husband was always there to support her, encouraging her, managing the household, and caring for their two children, allowing her to fully dedicate herself to her duties.
Thùy Dương's husband is Captain Nguyễn Văn Thanh, currently a driver in the Administrative Department of the Naval Command Headquarters. Recalling their love story, Thùy Dương couldn't hide her emotion. Fifteen years ago, they first met at a cultural program of the Naval Command. The songs and music became a bridge connecting two kindred spirits. Their love came gently, without fanfare, but deep enough for them to overcome the unique challenges and difficulties of military life together. After a year of bonding, understanding, and building trust, they decided to get married.
Like many military families, the couple faced numerous difficulties in the early years of their marriage. While their military salaries were stable, covering family expenses, from rent and daily living costs to preparing for their children's future, required careful budgeting and careful spending. Simple meals and discussions about how to manage finances helped them understand each other better, share their burdens, and overcome life's challenges together.
Ten years have passed since they tied the knot, and building their own home is a significant milestone for Thuy Duong and her husband. But more than anything, their greatest happiness and pride are their two obedient and lovely daughters. Their eldest daughter, Nguyen Hoai An, is currently in second grade and already helps her mother with small chores around the house, always serving as a role model for her younger sister. Meanwhile, their younger daughter, Nguyen Ha Vy, is eagerly preparing to enter first grade with many new dreams and joys.
For Thùy Dương, evenings spent helping her children with their homework are always the most peaceful and happy times. As for Thanh, despite his busy work schedule, he always makes time to care for and support his children's studies and share household chores with his wife. It is this love, responsibility, and understanding among family members that has built a peaceful and happy home, providing a foundation for the children to grow up surrounded by the love and care of their family.
Looking back, Thùy Dương feels happy to have lived, contributed, and grown in the military environment, while also building a peaceful home with her loved ones. For her, behind her achievements in her work, there is always the sharing and support of her family. Her love for her profession, her sense of responsibility as a soldier, and the strong support from her family have given her the motivation to constantly strive and excel.
