In May 2026, Mr. Mac Nhu Bac (Hoi Phuoc village, Hoa Vang commune) received a "Livelihood Orchard" from the Hoa Vang Commune Youth Union, consisting of 260 mangosteen trees, 20 star apple trees, and 20 mulberry trees, with a total value of 30 million VND. All the saplings were planted on approximately 1,000 square meters of his family's hillside land.
"I want to try planting mangosteen trees on my hometown land to see how effective it is. If the trees grow well, I will continue to invest in expanding the area in the future," Mr. Bac shared.
According to Mr. Dinh Ngoc Hieu, Secretary of the Hoa Vang Commune Youth Union, the locality has many hilly areas suitable for developing perennial fruit trees. Supporting livelihood orchards for disadvantaged young people aims to create conditions for them to effectively exploit the potential of the land. After donating seedlings, the Commune Youth Union continues to monitor the development of each model, providing timely technical support when needed. In the future, the unit plans to support two more livelihood orchards for Youth Union members in the area.
Previously, in March 2026, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tay (Hoa Khuong Dong village) received two livelihood gardens from the Ba Na Commune Youth Union, including one garden with 600 acacia trees and one fruit garden with plums, coconuts, and mangoes. Thanks to his hard work, both gardens are developing quite well.
Currently, the acacia trees are about 1 meter tall, and the fruit trees are also growing steadily. "This is a great source of encouragement for me to continue to be involved in agricultural production, gradually building an effective economic model and stabilizing my life," Mr. Tay expressed.

According to the plan, during the "Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign" in 2026, the City Youth Union and its affiliated organizations will plant 200,000 trees. In addition to greening barren land and improving the environmental landscape, the units will also focus on supporting livelihood orchards for disadvantaged young people.
According to Nguyen Ba Duan, Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union and President of the City Youth Federation, the "Livelihood Orchard" model has been maintained for many years to help young people have more opportunities to develop their economy and promote sustainable agriculture .
Besides providing seedlings, the Youth Union at all levels also coordinated training courses, transferred advanced scientific and technical knowledge, and guided appropriate production processes. Many models, after receiving support, have developed well, yielded stable harvests, and brought significant income to young people.
In the coming period, the City Youth Union will study the possibility of donating livestock and equipment suitable for labor needs, creating opportunities for young people to rise out of poverty and become wealthy in their homeland.
