The speakers participated in the discussion at the program.
Currently, the country has over 800 media outlets with approximately 41,000 people working in the field of journalism and media, of which about 21,000 have been issued press cards. Although the number and quality of female journalists are increasing, their potential has not yet been fully exploited. While female members of the Vietnam Journalists Association account for over 40%, there are still no female leaders holding positions of Vice President or higher; the number of female editors-in-chief remains modest compared to the total number of female journalists.
During the discussion session, speakers focused on several topics, including: the presence and listening of female leaders in the media environment; the voice of female leaders in media organizations; the necessary and sufficient conditions for female leaders in media organizations to maximize their voice and capabilities in media management; the "sensitivity" and tact in work relationships; and the issue of fostering a positive view of female leaders and colleagues among male leaders...
Through the exchange and discussion process, delegates also discussed management capabilities, the journey of overcoming prejudice, the necessary conditions for nurturing and supporting the new generation of female leaders in journalism, and fostering newsroom culture in the digital age.
Through discussions, the forum affirmed that the voice of women in journalism today is not only about presence but also about creating, managing, and leading. Female journalists are daily demonstrating their capabilities, intelligence, and dedication in a challenging profession.
