New look of Yang Mao commune

Yang Mao commune was established on the basis of merging Cu Dram commune and Yang Mao commune (old). After the commune merger and the two-level local government model came into operation, the central area of ​​Yang Mao commune has had many positive changes, the landscape and order have been improved, contributing to building a more civilized and spacious new rural appearance.

The makeshift market areas on both sides of the road have been reorganized, with temporary markets set up; the chaotic roadside trading and indiscriminate motorbike parking obstructing traffic at the intersection of Provincial Road 12 have been eliminated. Previously, along both sides of Provincial Road 12 and in front of the gate of the former Cu Dram commune central market, many households encroached on the sidewalks for business, extending their businesses with corrugated iron roofs and erecting tarpaulins that encroached on the road; now, all have been seriously dismantled, restoring clear sidewalks. Areas in front of the gates of offices, agencies, and health stations have also been cleared and made clean and tidy. Gates, fences, and roads have been built and repaired… Mr. Vu Van Ve, Secretary of the Party Branch of Cham A hamlet, happily said: “Initially, when we encouraged people to remove the encroachments on sidewalks and roadsides, some households hesitated. When the commune's Traffic Safety Committee came down to persuade them, made commitment agreements, and the surrounding households strictly complied, everyone agreed to participate. To date, both sides of the road in the commune center have been cleared, making the area spacious and airy. The center is now beautiful, with unobstructed views and improved traffic safety.”

The gates, fences, and access roads to the headquarters and offices in the central area of ​​Yang Mao commune have been repaired and upgraded.

Moreover, the appearance of the center of Yang Mao commune has become even more vibrant and fresh as residents have simultaneously hung Party flags and national flags along both sides of the road. At night, electric lights illuminate the area, and propaganda banners and posters are placed everywhere. These changes are thanks to the decisive leadership of the commune's Party committee and government, the involvement of the Traffic Safety Committee and the Commune's Security and Order Committee, and especially the unity and support of the people. Mr. Sung Seo Lung, a resident of Ea Lang village, shared: "Coming to Yang Mao now, I see that the commune center has changed a lot; it's much more spacious, clean, and beautiful."

Mr. Vo Tan Truc, Chairman of the People's Committee of Yang Mao commune, said that in the coming time, the commune will continue to renovate the central area, especially the market area; review and rearrange the stalls in the market, remind and handle the situation of traders encroaching on walkways; at the same time, the commune will propose to the Department of Construction to redesign the roundabout at the central intersection of the commune to be more compact and expand the area of ​​traffic. Initially, the commune will temporarily arrange a place to sell fruits and vegetables in the courtyard of the Cham A community house and utilize vacant land at government offices as parking lots for residents. In the long term, the locality will plan the market and commercial business area in a suitable location, meeting the needs of the people while ensuring traffic order and safety.
